Very sweet catch Alex! I loved watching the the controls outside move whenever he would operate inside. For a 25 year old truck it doesn't look too bad, the chassis looks amazing and not to much smog on the body. Gotta love the whining sound too especially since he revved it. Great catch on this one, i'm glad that you found it before its time.
Thank you! Agreed that it sure is fun to watch the outside controls move all around. I'm amazed at how well Daily keeps this truck up, especially considering how infrequently it's used. Glad you enjoyed it man!
I really can't believe how much you've lucked out over the past week with these mind-blowing finds. I also really like these descriptions you've been coming up with. Though very hard to come by, this is one of those very, very few trucks that has that perfect whine to growl ratio. You really outdid it with this one. Looking forward to seeing what else you find! No doubt I will be coming back to watch this again when I'm in the mood for a nice soothing noise to help me fall asleep.
I really can't believe the luck in the past week either. Glad you like the descriptions, I will keep that in mind for future uploads. I agree with you on the for sure on the perfect whine to growl ratio. That is the type of sound that just sends tingles down my spine. Haha. Thanks a bunch man, i'm really glad you enjoyed this one.
Awesome video dude! Such a classic truck, and the old school Volvo rims add a really nice touch to the truck itself. Unique whine to this truck. Enjoyed the hard revving and of course the packing at 3:30. It's the best feeling when documenting a truck finally after trying to catch it for so long!
Someone's really had a good week finding trucks ;-) That's awesome how you were able to find this truck right after you told me about it! What a great sounding rig! The driver revved this thing perfectly, and definitely glad he used interior controls vs. exterior. Anyway, that's insane how much luck you had getting to the yard right as this truck is leaving! 9 am too, that's crazy late for commercial! Gotta love the weird stuff that happens when the regular trucks are down. And wow, only working for 2 hours! That's crazy! Cool to see some EDCO dumpsters thrown in, I was waiting for one to appear since it seems like most of Daily has yet to be rebranded. Congrats on conquering yet another San Diego find bro! Awesome video!
A good week finding trucks indeed! This truck would have to be my favorite though. It is REALLY a good thing he used interior controls for the video because man, the external controls don't have a throttle switch. These arms are quite slow at idle.. The lack of the throttle switch is probably a big reason why the drivers don't like to use this truck much. Yeah, most of the commercial routes are EDCO, and Daily dumpsters combined now. Makes filming a whole lot easier because their are a lot more stops. Thanks a bunch man!
Congratulations Alex, this a great find and I'm glad you found it on route after all your attempts. This CWS sure has great speed for a 25 tear old truck when lifting dumpsters. It's neat to see a truck still around with lift cylinders for the arms under the body. Any idea what year Daily started? I'm curious if this is one of their original trucks. Thanks for finding this beast before it's retired.
Thanks Kevin! Sure speeds up nicely when he gives it throttle. I love the nice clean look of the under body cylinders on this truck. really adds to the truck, in my opinion. I remember reading about Daily starting sometime in the later 90's. If this isn't originally from Daily, maybe it's from Mission Disposal because I have some major suspicions that they were related to Daily. Really glad you appreciated this find!

Nice! Interesting how the outside arm controls move when controlled from the inside.
Thank you! it is fun to watch.
This is. Fun. To watch as well

Thanks man! It felt amazing to finally catch this truck.
