As a Ky main, this made me wanna test out Zato bc damn he looks so cool. This is also my first time seeing high-level zato, and this definitely gave me a good first impression. Well done to Seongmin.
Just be prepared because he is not easy to learn. Then there is the fact that he was nerfed into the ground making him a shell of what he once was. Don’t get me wrong however because he is still my favorite GG character and one of my all time favorite fighting game characters. As you seem to be new to Zato I just wanted to prepare you for the frustration that playing and learning him can be, but if he looks fun to you I highly suggest you do try him. Learning him, even though I’m still not great, is some of the most fun I’ve ever had especially as I got incrementally better.
@@Ratanuki very true. From a developer's perspective I'd like to think they factor in tournament rankings for their balance, but given we've had Chaos this strong for this long..
@@-ITH I think she's just hard to balance without making her overturned somehow, but given how basically every Season 3 character came, out that doesn't seem like too much of a concern anymore
TY has been anticipating Slayer's inclusion in GGST since at least the beginning of season 3; as many Asia players have been stating that Slayer, in terms of character strength, is in the top 3-5 ranks, I would imagine that he is very pleased. With TY also having an incredibly strong Slayer in Xrd - it's no wonder he is so fearsome with Slayer in GGST. However, there are only 22 more days until we find out this dandy vampire's fate...
@@hieuo8259yeah I feel that’s why people think he’s so strong, I mean he is strong but if you keep him at a decent range or you are just more aggressive he suffers a lot, just don’t let him get momentum and you’re golden
I understand that this may sound surprising, but in the current version and at the highest level of play, Slayer is a top 3-5 character in terms of how strong he is in comparison to the rest of the cast - according to some of Asia's best players, who has been playing Guilty Gear for 20 years. Additionally, Verix, the current strongest Nago player in the world, stated that Slayer is just like Nago, but better -- and it is worth noting that Nago has not dropped below the top 3-5 ranks in terms of character strength since the beginning of GGST... Slayer has weaknesses, but they are by no means severe enough to offset this character's strengths. ASW made the mistake of designing an easy, overtuned character that one would say, "Anyone can cook with" - and like Nier in GBVR, I, and top GGST players expect ASW to correct this mistake - and this character will be adjusted/weakened in the next major balance patch coming in less than a month...
I feel so bad for zato 1 like a combo with a super wasn't even able to take the round 13:09 Hope this next patch they make him playable again Like ive been trying him out and i love he's complexity but omg it does not feel rewarding at all and everything requires so much precision i feel like im fighting eddie more than the opponent
@@ShimizuLynn03plus if eddy’s out and your opponent bursts, you cant use him again until the gage fully refills. its like if aba was in jealous rage and when you burst her she went back to normal mode
Because arcsys nerfed him into the ground when they had no reason to. Made Eddie refill too slowly, nerfed break the law, and more I’m probably forgetting
because he deserves to be. also arcsys doesnt like him and takes away a couple of good tools, and just by comparison the rest of the cast is juiced with god normals and pokes while zato has nothing without eddie which unless you can loop positive bonus he can't reliably keep eddie on screen, and most chars win the game in looping positive anyway so.
Zato players really out here playing Zato
Holy, this Zato gave me life. Those grabs were on point.

Good stuff. Hope us Baiken and Zato players get some good news next balance patch.
I mean, we can't get bad news anymore at this point...
I hope...

in term of strength slayer is defintely not top 3-5. he and sol are definitely the top 2 for strength. Neutral and defense are his weakness tho

DEATH.
Hands down some of the sickest Zato plays I've seen
zato is so cool he deserves to have btl burst/yrc bait
This would be heat
Arcsys PLEAAASE buff zato
This would barely be a buff it would just be really cool and fun pls ASW
no
The zato left right mixups on display here are so cool
5:03 back to back perfect damn

Zato is awesome and that’s why we gotta be aware that he needs a buff

Real
zato is not awesoem
I’m learning zato and am having trouble with un syncing zato and Eddie any tips?
you need to hold the button for eddie to not attack, you need to learn to hold certain buttons while pressing others its called negative edge
@@whale8289ok thx
Also if you wish to move eddie without walking forward or back you need to crouch
Fixtf2 in nickname of japanese/korean/chinese player lol
why zato is low tier?
Because he doesn't have pilebunker 😓
Because his shadow is a seperate entity that can be one shot and needs to recharge and he is worthless without his shadow

i cringed when zato got that CH 2s into nothing because the opponent bursted a bit earlier. like why is that allowed 🥺
zato guy is nowhere to be found...
