The way the bed was explained was phenomenal. I can't visualise things very well, but having the pic made all the difference in the world. It is the first time I understood how something was going to be built, BEFORE it was actually put together.

Quite beautiful. An idea for apartment dwellers: A few years ago, one of my neighbors threw away her daughters doll bed that looked similar to yours, but doll sized. I did a somewhat similar boxing out, except I lined it with plastic to both protect the wood and patio floor. Also I used a small piece of garden hose in the lowest corner to direct the excess water away from plant roots (prevent root rot) and the patio floor. It was adorable.

You are the Best Husband!Jessica is a lucky gal!!!!
I have watched her & you work together, which inspired me to get a raised bed , during Covid, my husband did buy me one not as big as I wanted, but I did plant some veggies. 🥕🍆🍅🌶🥒 & herbs. I finally got him to dig up for me this year. I just wish he would be more helpful!!
I Love your farm, all you guys gave done & are still doing!!!
So glad you have you blog video's now!!
I Love the bed garden! 😮
I saw Jessica at Bakersfield Creek, in Mansfield, Mo. didn't get to talk to her. I have arthritis in lower back & knee so I move slow! I live in Ozark, Mo.
Your boys tree house is Cool to. They are going to love this building & your grandkids too.
Love watching Ben working in the garden, I remember when he was a small pea working in garden in Arkansas, he's so cute!
I'm hoping to get to come to your farm & store some day!!
    You are doing great!!
Love You Guys & Family, Keep up great work! ❤

Hi Miah! Love the overhead video of the project. Y'all have a beautiful piece of land. Oh, and WOW what a difference with what you initially started with. I'm living a little vicariously through your videos. Wish I could move as quickly and smoothly as you do when you work through the projects. It would help my feeling a little bit if you could also post or include in each project what to overall time it took from conception to finish. I'm 70 years young and would love to do some similar projects but knowing the length of time it took you and doubling it would give me a time limit to shoot for. Thanks for doing this project on video. It looks amazing and I'm sure Jess will make it even more beautiful with her plantings.

Miah, I'm glad you take the time to video what you accomplish. I'm sure it's much easier to just get 'er done that to take the time to set up and plan your presentation... And we thank you! It does my heart good to see carpentry in action since I was a builder in the 70's and then got into commercial concrete placement and then, after having my second child, I did more conventional women's jobs. I SO miss the smell of sawdust. I can almost smell it when I watch your videos and it does this old gramma's heart good.

I 💚 this so much, Miah! I also have a Flower Bed Bed, but mine is not nearly as well-built as yours. 🛌 I just used some larger reclaimed cabinet/closet doors and L-brackets to build the frame and attached them to my vintage headboard and footboard. Works great so far, though. It's on the front corner of our city lot, right near the street corner, so I've had so many more neighbors stop and talk to me about the garden since I built it a couple years ago.

Great video! You explained every step and reason why one tool or item was chosen over another very well. Someone who is not used to building things or working with wood could easily understand the what and why the flower bed was built the way it was. Even saying that you had extra boards in case something didn't fit or you needed to try again was reassuring to someone like myself who has that happen to them when trying something new, lol
