From what I recall, the reflection probe doesn’t do anything if you are using speedray reflections & reflection planes…I believe it’s just used to give more accurate reflections in build mode to better help preview while working but has no effect on the actual rendering…it was kind of just left over from older versions. May be wrong, but that what I’ve seen in my experience and what I’ve read on the lumion forums. Also, thank you for your channel and contributions to the rendering community, always appreciated!
Hi Adam! No, that's not true and in the forums, they probably gave wrong information then. The Reflection Control works for every object that has a round surface. Basically, an object that you cannot add a Reflection Plane. Here is some test I've made to better explain this. On this render prnt.sc/MQ8jrYvdt4b1 the RC is in the center of the room, making the objects inside have more accurate reflections, as you can tell by the big chrome sphere. Now, on this one prnt.sc/UJPMgslXAmr9 the RC is on the exterior, and you can see that the chrome sphere is reflecting the exterior where it's placed, but also the objects inside have the wrong reflections.
Hi there mate, can I ask what modeling software you used, are all the elements from Lumion or a different software and Lumion is just used for the rendering?
ORRRRR ORRRR hear me out.. just select it make the material aluminium or something n pull the gloss n reflective to the max. And then put a reflection effect. Easier
Have any questions? Ask me in the comments below! :)
short was better to explain that mirror in a mirror reflection is not possible in lumion
sometimes reflections tend to be darker
@@guillaumevandermaas9316 i had simmilar issue. i had 2 mirrior reflecting each other and the end result...one of them not reflecting
where is the reflection probe located at.
that's due to light bounces. Reflections won't make as many, so it's faster to render.@@jhayceaparayno1404
Everything is clear, no need to ask :)
Priceless tips.
Thank you!
thank you so much for the videos
You're welcome!
Good reel, very useful one thank you🥰♥️
I love you Nuno
Merci beaucoup Nuno

Hi @Nuno! Have you ever tried the "mirror in mirror" reflection in Lumion? It's something like "a mirror reflection reflected in another mirror".
Same concern!
Nice one, thanks
Any time!
really useful..thanks
Finally i got it 😂💚💚
thank you very much
Thankyou
Thank U alot 🙏
You're welcome!
The reflection probe really makes a difference on the final render, or is it just for better preview?
It makes a difference on the preview, so it's easier to edit your materials, and makes difference on round surfaces on the final render.
Do we still need to do workarounds when we place transparent objects in front of the mirror?
Yes, that limitation is still present in new versions.
How to make different glowing colour material in limion please reply
Hi there mate, can I ask what modeling software you used, are all the elements from Lumion or a different software and Lumion is just used for the rendering?
This is from 3ds Max, and it's external models. Yes, Lumion is used just for rendering.
Where is the reflection probe ? In lumion 11.5
It's in the Utilities.
How import 3ds max to lumion 3d model with texture
have impoted a residence from 3dsmax to lumion.in lumion i am not able to select individual objects.how to do the selection
If you imported the model as one, you cannot select individual objects to move them. You need to import the models you want to move, separately.
Hello, I can't create a mirror effect in the current version of Lumion. Can you help me? Thank you
Sure, just make the metallic all the way to the right, roughness to the left and reflectivity to the right. 👍
Thank you very much 🙏@@NunoSilva3d
Hi sir I am an Architecture student from Philippines can you send me this effects thank you.
PC SPEC'S SUGGESTIONS PLEASE WORTH $2000
Lumion lacks tons of standard materials like mirror
It is just does not make sense
