What strikes me that hasn't really been talked about as far as I'm aware is how the level complete sequences look so much like death sequences. It even plays music that sounds like it should be for dying.

its on a cart how do you expect the same from a CD? It was a laser disc game. The SNES was good but NEVER that good in cart form unless it went CD AND You might as well expect the C-64 to do the same thing. They did nail the iconic scenes in 16 bit form. It's called the machine's limitations and I don't care how skillful the programmers are even THEY have their limits and know when a 16 bit cart machine cant do compared to laser disc

He's a legend and to slate this guy for saying he prefers the original is rediculous, the original 1984 creation was clearly the better version but this is a close second. And as your your argument, go play the original arcade machine with no help on space ace difficulty. That game used eat change for fun and there's no way you could complete it within the first week.

Certainly not good music... only the main level track is tolerable. The maze music is creepy for some odd reason and most other action tracks repeat it in one way or another. That damn tube instrument
No one expects a real transfer from the original game but this is a travesty for the SNES. The graphics for the SNES were quite amazing and yet this looks ridiculously cheap and at least three generations below the SNES. Borf at the end looks like he was made with Microsoft Paint. In fact the whole game looks like it was designed in Microsoft Paint. This is an insult to gamers and Space Ace.
