Take cannibal corpse, one of my fav bands, and they never even show there faces but you can’t help but head bang watching them. Mick is probably who got cannibal corpse to play knot fest and all other “death metal” bands. If he wasn’t in slipknot he’d be in deicide or Amon amarth or a not too technically demanding death band
Joey putting in major work at 19:45 still makes me lose my shit. This was slipknot at their best, they were still physical onstage. During daylight so all that mattered was energy and sound, no lights, no pyro, no screens. Glad that this was my era with slipknot.

I saw them live during this era, on the The Unholy Alliance tour with Slayer.. I was so fucking beat up efter the show, I didn't even have the energy to see Slayer.... I loved every second of it though.
this was a festival crowd not a specific slipknot crowd...but i think the heat/australia day and atmosphere had crowd and band as one....i have this somewhere on dvd...ripped of course...awesome

When a band becomes so successful. They stopped being hungry and egos started breaking up a good band. Slipknot was STARVING and put every band playing the gig on notice.
In my opinion Arch Enemy, Black Sabbath, Opeth, Machine Head, Slayer, AC/DC, Testament all better live bands than Slipknot off the top of my head, there may be a couple more i have been at. I have seen them all, some numerous times, i would maybe even add Megadeth to that list. Slipknot sound better now than they did in 2005 but in 2002 they were fucking amazing live, the disasterpiece dvd.....holy shit, that was an insane show. Wish i could have been there.

Playing live is about entertainment, and as you can see by the crowd, they succeeded. If you're not diggin it live kid then stick to buying cd's and filling up your ipod.
My first ever concert was at the age of 33 and I saw Slipknot at Machaca festival in 2022 and the majority of the crowd waited 7-8 hours to watch but our energy revived the moment we saw these men walk onto stage.

I won my Slipknot show tickets from a huge radio contest in may 2005!!! I was soooooooo pumped It was shadows fall, lamb of God, and them at the civic center Watching 5-10k ppl jump in unison is a sight to behold/experience!!! God rest Paul & Joeys souls
Still to this day one of the gnarliest Slipknot live performances! It was hot af out, everyone in the crowd was going absolutely ballistic including ppl up in the stands! People were spraying water everywhere, mosh pits up in the stands/seats lol. There were missing teeth and pieces of ripped clothing on the ground along with some blood. The whole show was some of the craziest raw shit ever. 🔥🔥🔥

So glad they played my 2 favorite songs, Buster Exists and Eyelashes.
Still to this day one of the gnarliest Slipknot live performances! It was hot af out, everyone in the crowd was going absolutely ballistic including ppl up in the stands! People were spraying water everywhere, mosh pits up in the stands/seats lol. There were missing teeth and pieces of ripped clothing on the ground along with some blood. The whole show was some of the craziest raw shit ever. 🔥🔥🔥
