Sandy’s ‘Texas’ backstory arc before the Fry Games arc is severely underrated. Hope the anime does it justice.
Bro the end when her father got sacrificed, I was damn near crying. It added so much depth to her character. Also explains why she gets so mad when SpongeBob makes fun of Texas.

@@Avocado_Ruler I've noticed that the community is pretty mixed on this arc, and while the beginning is mostly pretty dull and fillery, which is where you may have dropped it (sry if I'm wrong about thay), it fully pays off and it still has some of the most epic, intense and heartbreaking moments in all off manga. I really hope the anime translates it well into the animation medium, since it has large shoes to fill (I ain"t readin allat tho)

He literally states that he's not making anything personal, he just needs to kill [REDACTED] because he has took his knife and his title from him. Is he selfish and corrupted by keeping his Social Darwinist views on society? Yes. Does that make him any better than what Plankton or Bubble Bass did in the past? No. The difference here is that everyone ultimately decided to understand the latter two and still pull a double standard by shitting on Dennis.

She's like Cyborg, or really anyone ever who has mechanical parts. Stories are often more than willing to make them lose their mechanical limbs, because it has much lower stakes than losing real limbs, but it's still shocking enough to make the villain look cool.
Her arm got scratched, not sliced off.

Can we all take a moment to appreciate the curve ball sent our way when Fred, who was seen as a comedic side character and victim of slap stick, got a full character arc. Became my favorite for the Arc and like 80% of when he popped up again.
This deserves SO MUCH MORE, love your work keep going!

I know it's technically a "filler" arc, but I'm excited for the Rock-a-Bye Bivalve Arc. I know that Supongibobu isn't usually a Slice of Life anime, but the arc gives some great character development to both SpongeBob and Patrick and shows how meaningful their relationship truly is. It raises the stakes for the rest of the series by giving SpongeBob and Patrick something to fight for.

I loved that Patrick had the best character development during his "Fight for Chocolate" and "The Name is Patrick" episode.
@Scaphism666 You can't, yet. It's basically a mini arc that takes place before the games, it was only a few chapters long. It's called filler by a lot of people because of that, and because the plot is pretty static throughout, but I honestly disagree. While nothing really changes, we do get an important insight into Spongebob and Patrick's character dynamic that puts the main arc in a much different light than it would have been otherwise.
These openings are a national treasure. Thank you for my childhood
I still remember the scene where Squidward opened three gates for the first time to save Sandy. She lost the match but was alive at least. What a character
No squidward opened his third skill to make a krabby patty to heal sandy which confused spongebobu because he thought squidward was evil and making squidward a complex character while in the manga he was boring
Lets not forget to mention how much cleaner and consistent the animation is in this one vs the first! The first one looked great, but this one is a testamanet to how far narmak's animation skills have grown.

Man, I was waiting for a long time for something related to these animations to come out again, I'm very happy that it will returned, on top of that with a very good opening, it even brought the guy who says "my leg", how epic. "Frycook games arc", the classic tournament can never be missing from any shonen. This is going to be great, let's give some applause to the animators for this beautiful opening🎉
Genuinely love Sandy so much... Despite her tragic past, she's always there to support her friends and is one of the most powerful and badass fighters in all of Bikini Bottom.

Yeah, it's basically impossible for her to lose a fight that way, but it's also not really something she can do on command, and neither she nor her friends can really direct her actions once it's triggered. Honestly, it's more of a detriment than an asset.

I mean... opening 3 did that whole trope where it spoils the last arcs ahead of time showing scenes that have nothing to do with the arc. I mean you can clearly see in this one them setting up the masked figure that fights squiqward is Patrick after he killed him.
Honestly I feel like this is the FNAF of anime and we're just gonna have to guess where everything goes on the timeline

I just know My Leg Guy is gonna be my favorite character by the end of this arc. He's already come a long way, and characters that drastically change at one point is my favorite trope 🎉

I hope you're right, but I have a bad feeling that MLG is just going to be used to show Squidward's current OP level after the brief timeskip. Could be a pretty brutal end for MLG a la Hisoka vs Kastro.

It'd be crazy if Fred ended up not having powers, but is just ridiculously fast, having trained for ages to try to match up to everyone else's ability, only to get paired with someone so completely out of his league, but somehow putting up a fight that made it the most iconic in the entire series.
Someone mentioned that the my leg guy would be their favorite and that's the first thing that came to mind.
I believe that's exactly what he is. He didn't have a master to look up to, in contrast to Spongebob and Squidward having Mr. Krabs guiding them. If anything, Mr. Krabs didn't see any potential in him, throwing him out of the Krusty Dojo when he said "Rev up those fryers."
He's similar to Patrick in a way, sticking to his code and being strong on his own. To top it off, his biggest strength now is what used to be his greatest weakness: his leg.
And that someone will destroy Fred's leg and would shout his iconic line.

This arc Fred really shines through as a character, hes usually shown as a minor character in the anime but in the manga he plays a pivotal role to the plot. The VA in the recent episode really sold the heart wrenching scream at his defeat "MY LEG".

I can't believe they spoiled the Sandy vs. Dennis fight! It was the most heart-pounding fight in the arc; it always kept readers on their toes, constantly guessing who would come out on top, and the intro just showed how the battle ended. They better do justice to "Yellow vs. Pink" to compensate for this.
At least they didn't spoil Squidward vs Fred. That fight was brutal as hell and honestly hard to read at first.

I'm not sure it's really a spoiler. Sure it's a big and shocking moment but it happens pretty early in the fight. It's more about how Sandy is able to fight back from it.

Man I still remember seeing the first spongebob opening for the first time, you might not believe me but it was in a library on some old lady's computer, she was looking at a facebook post and it was spongebob op1. I then got home and googled it, and that was how I discovered Narmak's channel. I'm pretty sure the fact this happened played a role in me liking metal music and anime today

That beat around the minute mark where the music rests and we get that transition from sandy's introspective to the hit on Dennis, and the music rocketing back in, genuinely great direction and boarding. That impact literally gave me chills, im amazed everytime with these intro's!

Man they really showed the Squidward power-up sacrifice scene in the opening. Probably my favorite scene from the manga tbh, I teared up near the end.

The FGT arc is easily one of my favorites in the post-timeskip. The mini training arc + Sandy's backstory all make for such an entertaining watch, and the amount of foreshadowing is INSANE!! SUPONJIBOBU fans are eating good for sure in 2024!
