I love how for so many of the pivotal arcs, like romance dawn, return to Sabaody, Dressrosa, and Wano, they had Hiroshi Kitadani sing the openings. Now we have him singing the first opening for what may be the final saga of one piece. He truly has been one of the most important voices since the beginning of one piece

a lot of people(i'll include myself) where sceptical about the "final saga" used about egghead, but when the arc started it felt like it was the final lap
I xried reading this. I was always a fan of one piece but the latest chapter since g5 reveal hvae had me HOOKED and immensely emotionally invested in the manga man. Final saga One Piece is something almost no other show is able to achieve the immense feeling of closing the story. Everything now happening at once that has been prepared for 20 years every single arc before now feeling the effect of the end of the story. The world WILL be turned upside down
That's probably my favorite part. Showcasing everything they've done from the beginning and we're all seeing that we're moving forward closer to the end.

I agree! There's a couple things that I would consider straight up spoilers, but there are SO MANY little nods or "if you know, you know" type things, and I love it so much. I'm so excited for this arc to be animated

White is technically the warmest color if we're talking about light. Whether it looks cold or warm depends on how you use it and the other colors on the palette, since white is neutral. But I get your comment, it gives me "bright" vibes.
If we're judging STRICTLY on the opening itself and subtracting the emotions associated with the era. On a basis of quality alone, this is easily in the top 3 and would need a complete breakdown to justify it being 1st place, but it definitely is among the most phenomenal openings, easily.

God this has got to be the best opening this show has ever had. It doesn't even feel like an opening for Egghead but also for everything that happens around it as well as being a celebration of all of one piece up until this point. Never mind the sheer staggering amount of symbolism and references they managed to pack in, this is a work of art. None of my friends are allowed to watch it until the arc is over.
The music is just so commanding while the artwork is so vivid and silly. While WE ARE is iconic as an op for the deep themes of one piece, this feels like iconic for the heart of one piece. A journey of fun, danger, and wildness through the world
Right the song is special the singers and the background like it gave it such a greasy fast pace music and is like chills cause is like they are entering their final season but they are not even in the ending when they are shouting and the vocals behind is like if they’re entering the final battle.
Yeah it gave me chills and then 2 seconds later I started crying of happiness of how far one piece has come and how grateful I am to be a op fan. I love Oda-sensei

Blackbeard is not even considered a main character yet, he just an off screen merchant

ところどころ物語の内容を彷彿とさせる歌詞があるのもいいよね。このオープニングの最初と最後ってルフィがサニー号の上で寝転んで自分の夢を話してる時のあれだけど、そこに「Dream Save Us」って歌詞があると何だか意味深に感じます。あとは「バラバラの文脈が意思を持ち繋がれば時の糸が紡ぎ直される」ってどことなくポーネグリフと空白の百年、そして受け継がれる意思を思い浮かばされます。映像がめちゃくちゃ良い上に歌詞も良くて最高です

I cannot physically nor mentally explain how much i love this style, its like theyre taking a 3d character and giving it 10x the emotion, i know a lot of people dislike it after getting used to the much more detailed and stronger type of style in wano but imo this is literal eye candy and i couldnt be more excited for egghead

But throughout egghead, kuma's backstory, shanks one tapping kid, garp vs kuzan, imu killing cobra, luffy vs kizaru, zoro vs lucci. Blackbeard is not even considered a main character yet, he just an off screen merchant

「ここからがワンピース」て歌詞に入ってんの最高やな
ところどころ物語の内容を彷彿とさせる歌詞があるのもいいよね。このオープニングの最初と最後ってルフィがサニー号の上で寝転んで自分の夢を話してる時のあれだけど、そこに「Dream Save Us」って歌詞があると何だか意味深に感じます。あとは「バラバラの文脈が意思を持ち繋がれば時の糸が紡ぎ直される」ってどことなくポーネグリフと空白の百年、そして受け継がれる意思を思い浮かばされます。映像がめちゃくちゃ良い上に歌詞も良くて最高です

で、結果まで描いてるように見えるのは偶然か仕込みか。ネタだとしたら相当巧みだと思う
そうだったらまじで天才だと思う
ここにきてウィーアーとウィーゴーを超える名曲が出てくるとは思ってなかった…。
個人的に歴代最高のオープニングだわ。
