I agree. It's not necessary to create an LLC. You will most likely file your taxes as a 1099 contractor under a Host Agency. You can still write off some expenses this way.
You mention in one of your videos that you shouldn't pay to become affiliated with a host agency. I thought this might be rare, but I see many (e.g. Fora, Nexion, etc) that seems to have subscription or membership models to join them and receive support. Am I understanding this correctly? Thanks!
Hi Claudio, I should be more clear in that description. Some of them do charge annual or monthly fees. This is normal and the charges goes toward administration and services that the agency provides. You should avoid the agency if it sounds like a pyramid scheme.
Is Main Street Travel by Park Savers a good host agency?
The links to your courses are broken.
Do you have to be a certified travel agent prior to joining a host agency, or can you become certified through a host agency.
Is it standard for a host agency to require you to have your own LLC and EIN before employment? And a 1-Year Non-Compete in the contract?
Any tips on doing this to save money on vacations and getting freebies?
Should I set up an LLC and EIN while I’m under a host agency? I’m not sure if that is necessary or even allowed. Thanks!
Hi Melissa - it’s not necessary. However, it’s up to you.
