    Comparators LM339, AS339M-G1, LM339E, LM239, LM2901, LM2901E, LM2901V, NCV2901, MC3302 These comparators are designed for use in level detection, low−level sensing and memory applications in consumer, automotive, and industrial electronic applications. These quad comparators feature high gain, wide bandwidth characteristics. This gives the device oscillation tendencies if the outputs are capacitively coupled to the inputs via stray capacitance. This oscillation manifests itself during output transitions (VOL to VOH). To alleviate this situation input resistors 10 k should be used. The addition of positive feedback ( 10 mV) is also
    recommended. It is good design practice to ground all unused input pins.
    Differential input voltages may be larger than supply voltages without damaging the comparator inputs. Voltages more negative than −300 mV should not be used. The LMx39 and LM2901x are quad comparators with the ability to operate up to an absolute maximum of 36 V on the supply pin. This standard device has proven ubiquity and versatility across a wide range of applications. This is due to very wide supply voltages range (2 V up to 32 V), low Iq, and fast response of the device. The open-drain output allows the user to configure the output logic low voltage (VOL) and allows the comparator to be used in AND functionality.
    The comparator operates solely as a voltage comparator, comparing the differential voltage between the positive and negative pins and outputting a logic low or high impedance (logic high with pullup) based on the input
    differential polarity.

    Excellent lesson! Excellent start to the week! I'd like to try this circuit and see how this is different than an op amp. I believe that if you built this using an op amp the led would glow gradually bright in linear fashion, with the comparator the led is just on or off. Have a great day!

      best regards
      yes it can be made using opamp
      but the basic comparator circuit is a decision making circuit, by sensing differential voltage at both pins

      If non-inv input higher than inv input the output go higher (i think it's 5~8 volts not sure)
      If non-inv input lower than inv input the output go lower (0v)

    سلام استاد آیا امکان دارد این آیسی در مدار منبع تغذیه کامپیوتر بسوزد ؟
    من یک مدار atx دارم که ولتاژ ۵ ولت سیم بنفش برقرار است ولی روشن نمیشود . بنظر شما مشکل از این آیسی است؟

    • @HaseebElectronics
      @HaseebElectronics  Год назад

      خوش اومدی برادر عزیز این آی سی فقط برای نظارت بر ولتاژ و بررسی ولتاژ بیش از حد، تحت ولتاژ، بیش از شرایط فعلی است. بیشتر اوقات این ic به طور معمول کار می کند، اما به دلایل بالا، سیگنال "غیرفعال" را به ic کنترلر pwm (TL494 یا KA7500) ایجاد می کند، عمدتاً پین شماره 4 کنترلرهای pwm فوق را کنترل می کند. این ic به ندرت آسیب می زند
      welcome dear brother. this ic is just to monitor voltage and check for over voltage, under voltage, over current conditions. most of time this ic is working normally, but due to above reasons, it creates "disable" signal to the pwm controller ic (TL494 or KA7500), mostly it controls pin number 4 of the above pwm controllers. this ic damges rarely
