I had this same pair but with the lock. They were blue with yellow accents. I don’t think they make them anymore, perhaps because people had the same problem I had. Occasionally they would lock themselves while working on a wire-cutting, stripping, twisting. This was annoying but presented a big problem when I was working on live wires, as the locking mechanism would be energized. There were several times when they locked onto a live wire, I was not wearing gloves, and I was grounded. So I just had to disengage the lock knowing I would be shocked. Of course there are some user errors involved in that scenario, but those are just real world scenarios when you’re doing this work every day.
My local electrical supply house told me as long as they say klein tools (no receipts needed) they told me no matter where purchased and this came from Matt Klein the 4th himself (owner of Klein tools ) they deal with him in person cause they have a klein day at their store and he said so. They will replace the tools and return them (broken tools) back to klein. Free of charge. And no matter if you spoke with a representative or manager from klein or warranty this comes from the horses mouth (Matt Klein the 4th himself owner of Klein tools)
I’ll have to go and talk to the guys at my local electrical supply house. Haven’t been in there lately. Last time I was there, they said something had changed about the warranty process but I can’t remember it.

The old model has a lock I’ll trade with you
I have both versions of them. I prefer the older ones that lock. Makes them easier to store in a bag or work pouch
you're suppose to use the plyer to pull the jacket off.
You aren’t an electrician
@@alexanderwells2837I am, can't help that you don't know how to use your tools
