Watch our Parkour Tips series - we'll be covering rolls in that, and already have two tips out, one specifically to help you avoid hurting your hips/back.
The purpose of holding the inside of the foot is to help you train your body to position itself correctly, nothing more. It helps you get your hands in front of you to help guide the roll, rather than out beside you. If you watched the rest of the tutorial, you would have seen that he does tell you to get your hands out in front.
Hey, I was just wondering how do I complete a parkour roll without hurting my hip or shoulder. I've seen all the tutorials but none seem to help, can you? Thanks.
Don’t land onto the side of your hip and don’t land onto the top of the shoulder, but rather just go onto the back of your shoulder, and practice slowly on concrete so that you can feel where it hurts.
We wouldn't advise that tutorial, no. Holding the inside of the foot etc is not a good way to learn to roll! Hands should be out in front of your body, poprioceptive awareness of the ground is important.
Is there a follow up video from this how to kick your feet up so that you get right up and stand on the wall??? Please
Dis is good basic ty for tutorial
thank a lot
usually you can use momentuim to do that kind of stuff am i not correct? and never use forearms cause the no bones rule
Yeah you can just run up the wall with no effort but if a wall is too tall and is just reachable that's where the wall climb up is handy
great tutorial
thank you, that will help me a lot!
good method, very good tutorial *-*
greetings from a traceur of Brazil

I've used the roll a few times in my video's but i'm all ways hurt after.
The arm inside the leg is just the first progression. From this comment it looks like you only watched the fist 30 seconds of the tutorial.
