This was cool to see. Watching boats be made never gets old. Its interesting to see the different approaches each factory takes.
Excellent video Gene. Always love seeing how things get done on the cutting room floor. Very important to appreciate the work they do.
Serious tig skills never seen someone hold the torch that way. Experience is the best teacher.
I couldn’t agree more. It’s an art for sure.
🇨🇦 running my Alumacraft Competitor tomorrow for some wallys ! Fall fishing wohoooo..
Wow, after watching this and seeing the handmade quality instead of mass produced product, I'm sold on getting one of these over the Tracker. 👍
Glad you like it!
I'm super excited for you sir, ever since I started fishing when I drive down the road and see a boat. I'm always checking it out to see what they got. Can't wait to see the full walk through video.
I love this , I learned how to weld when i was younger . It's awesome to see how the boats are made ! Great video ! I love watching your video's keep up the superior Quality ! Much love and Fish On !
Who doesn't love a well edited "How It's Made". That was fun to watch. I've got some "How I Made It" of my own boats on my channel too.
Congrats on the new boat, and thanks for the tour of the factory. We run a Trophy 205 (deep V out of the Minnesota factory) and it has been a great boat. Look forward to seeing you catch some more fish on that rig.
Man what a great looking boat you got there. I like the gun metal grey. I'd love to fish out of one of those.
If you are a fishing guide and you buy an Alumacraft boat the warranty goes from a 10 year warranty to a 1 year warranty. You would think a company who claims to know anglers would not cut fishing guides warranty’s. This is not just about me but any guide or angler who uses this product. There are tons of great company’s out there who understand the angler. Support them !
Thanks for sharing this Gene! I have a Prowler 165 and LOVE it! Tremendous to see where mine was made. Best of luck with your Pro 185!
Me and some friends were at the Rocky Mountain Project a few days ago and we saw your truck. We all looked you up and gave you a follow. Glad I found this the content is great!
Awesome man. Thank you. Rocky lakes are my home waters
The tour was fantastic. Consider having the trailer tires, including the spare, balanced. It made a big difference in my Alumacraft trailer here in Minnesota. Looking forward to seeing the fully rigged boat.
Also think about putting the front marker lights in the gunnel since it makes life easier.
That's a great idea. thanks
Nice looking boat Gene. Love the gunmetal color for sure. One day I'll get one of those pro 185's! I still have my 2004 165 Lunker for now. Still no leaks in it. Gets me fishing and that's what counts. 👍🏻
That's a killer boat Gene. Love that color.
Love my Alumacraft Escape top quality boat. Work in a metal shop and its hard work laser cutting, bending and welding.
My boat would look exactly like yours if you had a 10’ John boat with JB Weld covering a couple bullet holes. Awesome video!
Great looking boat! Alumacraft makes a mean boat.
Sweet boat dude. Bring it down to Lanier sometime. 🚤🎣
Beautiful boat Gene!!!
I was going to buy a Vexxus. After following FlukeMaster and now this site video I will be buying Alumacrat Pro 185 later this year.
That’s awesome man. I know you’ll love it as much as I do.
Flukemaster Buck’s Island in Gadsden, Al? I live in Birmingham so that is cool.
I want same cockpit nylon floor. Wonder if they can offer that in a gray?
Man that boat looks amazing, cant wait to see it rigged up . Thanks again for another awesome video.
Beautiful boat Gene!! Congrats!!!!
Hey Gene, Can you make a video on how well your new Ultrex trolling motor works and spotlock feature on the water?
This will be my second Ultrex and it is an absolute game changer. I say that because it has changed the way I fish and I have been able to catch more fish because of it.
Love the new boat but really love your new Etec. I know you are going to love it, too. Looks like mine on my Ranger RT198P. I have been looking for you on 'Chick' but I know your boat is NOT rigged as of yet. If you want to fish 'Chick' in my boat just let me know. Fishing has been getting better, got 6 Bass yesterday. Hope to see you on the water soon. Great video!!
i hate spray foam, especially in a boat that would need to cut apart to take it out when it gets waterlogged.
all foam will eventually start holding water, even moisture from the air. any time after 10 year boat starts getting heavier. the amount of water of course is how you store it plays a factor of course.
Feel the Rush! Good times a comin , Be Safe! Tim
You deserve it Gene! 👍
Sweet! That must be the Arkansas plant. I used to live right next to the St. Peter plant. Man, it was hard driving by all those brand spankin new boats every day and being a broke college student.
I was thinking the same thing. i drove right past the Arkadelphia plant everyday as a poor college student.
Please do a video on the evinrude compared to your previous motors obviously will take seat time but would love to hear what you think of it.
I have a bunch of family who work there in arkadephia Arkansas. Wish I was in town and would have saw you. Could of showed you some awesome lakes to fish
I was only there for a couple of hours. I had to get home.
That’s really cool man nice boat and it really cool how they make it
my alumacraft had metal shavings in the storage boxes when i bought it so i doubt they are that thorough cleaning them out
Too cool to see the whole process!
Dam! That is really nice! Wish I was rich😑 my only hope is to hit the lottery soon and get a nice boat.😐
As a future engineer hopefully I fee like they may need to re design that pant and they can make a better layout and make production faster! I know that would acquire shouting down but still!
Hey Gene, great channel. My question is why did you choose to go with the 185 when you could have gone with the bigger model with more hp's? I bought an 18 Pt190 with the new 115 pro xs and loved it for a little while, but I started having buyers remorse for not going for the bigger model with the 150. Now this boat does everything I ask her to, but being that you have a good thing going with alumacraft I was wondering why. The boat does look beautiful though and you have inspired me to make a few more upgrades.
Do you get a new boat every year? I don’t like trading up I like the memories I’ve made with it. So I keep my boats until they get destroyed.
I trade it out every other year
Flukemaster oh ok you also do this for a living. So big difference when you’re a weekend warrior and a pro.
Yes there is.
Congrats bud.... Hope u enjoy it.
congrats gene, very nice boat
So cool maybe I will see you on your home lake one day
Awesome boats made not to far from where I grew up in Arkansas!
Sweet boat!! I want one !!! Lol but the kayak will do for now 😉
I'm sure they showed what they wanted you to see and those welds were decent. I just purchased a 2010 triton vt17 on omg the welds on the transom look like something a kid in shop class his first day did. I am a welder/ultrasonic weld inspector by trade so I guess I may look a little more than most but this triton is a mess. Got an awesome deal on it but still. I thought triton was a step above polar kraft but as far as quality the 2006 1780 I had put the triton to shame. I have always thought the alumacraft looked awesome I may trade up later.
LOL. My buddy who is a welding instructor said the same thing.
@@Flukemaster Man thanks for all you do for us struggling on the water.
I was editing a Vid but I had to stop to watch 😁
Hope you show the rigging process
How well does Alumacraft hold up in salt water?
Awesome! I have the same boat except G1 115HO, 2019 pro185 gun metal grey. Next upgrade will be either power poles or talons. Where did you fit the power pole pumps in the back compartment, does the G2 have an external oil reservoir?
When I do a complete walkthrough video I'll be sure to show where they are.
Flukemaster can’t wait!
Awesome video !! Great idea
That guy is Tig Welding without a safety curtain around his area. That could be a violation of OSHA requirements.
If I get a jon boat there does the trailer come with the boat or do I have to buy the trailer separately
I’m looking at this exact boat. Minus the power poles.... how do you like it so far
I love it.
Flukemaster Ive read about some problems with these engines . Have you had any problems yet?
I have family in Rome, GA.
Rome, GA??? I'm born and raised.
Beautiful boat. What's the price point were looking at for something similar?
The base price is in the low 20’s. It’s best to ask a dealer though.
How is new 115 G2 running on the boat? What is the top speed on the boat?
Awesome!!!
Dude, thats pimpin but ill tell you what. For the Flukemaster, it's only right.
Awesome love it!!!?
Nice video, but the sickest thing in that video is that hat , go DAWGS ✌️
Bruh, you get a new Alumacraft every year??
👍 👌 ✌
I dont know if you've ever used a pedal kayak but if you could suggest some would be much appreciated
The only one that I like is a Hobie
@@Flukemaster thank you!
I need to get a boat
What was wrong with your 2018 Alumacraft Pro 185? Also, why do you choose an aluminum boat vs a fiberglass?
Nothing was wrong with it. I’m under contract with Alumacraft and I swap my boat out every two years. The reason I choose Aluminum is it costs me 50 to 70 dollars less per day to run and tow an aluminum boat.
@@Flukemaster How so? The weight?
Sick! 👊👍
Whats different from the one you had?
The layout is different. It's got a lot more room for tackle. the seats are an upgrade. The motor is new on the market and it's got a digital throttle.
@@Flukemaster Ah, well there you have it. Nice rig. I have a mod-V Crestliner that I desperately need some Power Poles for.
Alumacraft have any plans for a pad hull?
Yes. I'm pretty sure their 20 foot already has one.
Evenrude went bankrupt probably hard get parts 2023😊
🚣 🚤 🎣 👀 , Great Video 💪
The US flag is hanging incorrectly in the shop!
IS ALUMACRAFT CLOSING EVEN THE MINNESOTA FACTORY, THERE IS RUMORS AT BRP............
Not that I have heard
🔥 up and meets at meets out at party cove. 🎣🚤
💼 🚶✈
Not a fan of a 4 piece boat
Hotfoot ?
It has a digital foot throttle. It feels and acts just like the gas peddle on your car.
@@Flukemaster say , how did you go about purchasing your new boat directly from the warehouse ? 🚤 🎣
