Minecraft is the type of game where you can play for a couple minutes and it will feel like hours or a couple hours and it will feel like minutes.
I just punch a tree.. a whole year just passed...
That mansion is the rarest structure in the entire game
I somehow still find them very often
ok watermelon is probably the worst food you can bring to a fight, especially against some of the stronger enemies in the game

@@yen_tihW Oh lord. I was considering such a possibility as I was writing the comment. I meant to put it so that I would mean that the minecraft player isn't vegan not the person himself but I didn't so I guess it turned it to a joke. Partially.

If you're thinking of keeping the mansion as your house, be sure to put some copper lightning rods on the corners of the roof to prevent lightning from burning the whole thing down.

if you give the friendly ghost an object they will go off and try to find you more of that object and bring it back to you
Hey! There is Always a secret room in a mansion, you can only find them by breaking down walls or looking in the window from the outside, all of them have some really good loot:2 dynamite + trap chest or a monster spawner that will allow you to farm mod loot infinitely or a LOT of obsidian + a diamond block(9 diamonds!) or a bunch of lava in a glass lamp + a diamond block
Keep the totem in your shield hand... If you die, it automatically gives you a couple health to escape...
Corrupted files are a RUclipsrs nightmare, congratulations on handling it like a champ and pushing forward
you can make the mansion pretty safe just put torches everywhere and make it very bright dont leave any dark places
Those ‘boss’ guys aren’t too hard to kill if you just go straight for them, and they drop a special item called totem of undying which is basically an extra life. If it’s in your hand, and you die, you are resurrected and it is used up. It also works in your left hand
All the darkness is why i always bring a minimum of 2 stacks of torches (128+ torches)
I'd love to do that but I'm always low on coal!
@DrewGoodHelp Logs make charcoal in a pinch... Good thing there's plenty of trees... Plus, one coal or charcoal makes 4 torches so you only need 16 coal and sticks for 64...
Back in the old days before the Caves and Cliffs update, coal was found at every level. I'd just bring logs and then I only need to carry a single stack of torches, then craft the torches on the go. I don't know if this method still works with the current ore distribution.
I think dynamic lighting is in vanilla too so any light source lights stuff up as ypu hold it

You can feed Minecraft dogs with rotten flesh and it doesn't hurt them but actually heal them, just like any other meat.
The blue ‘ghosts’ are called Allays, they only follow you if you give them an item. The will pick up items that are the same as the one they are carrying and bring it to you

Love seeing your progression from episode 1 to this one :) Mink should give you some more of the "firsts" though - he's obviously more experienced, I wish he would have let you check out that chest at the end of the secret corridor first. There are a ton of "firsts" in MC - but they are finite.
Now that you found a mansion.... if you thought that was big you should visit the deep dark and find your first Ancient City ;)

-tame a cat (they repel creepers)

If i were you i would replace your shield with the totem if you run out of hearts while holding the totem you will get a second chance without dying but the totem gets used

Minecraft triggers hyperfixation in most ADHD folks, including me lol. It lasts for like a 3-4 month phase, and then again one rainy day that hyperfixation will be triggered, and the cycle goes on and on and on and on....

You can tell how much health your dog has by looking at their tail, the lower the tail, the lower the health.. And you can heal and breed them by feeding any type of meat, including rotten flesh.
I really enjoy this playthrough. That entrance to mansion you did is awesome.
Slowly but surely, I can see you are becoming addicted to this game. Been playing on and off since 2010, I can really say that when I boot up this game, nothing else matters.
Woodland mansions can spawn really weird like that. I recently decided to go live in one. 1st one had the front door on a river. The slabs in front were waterlogged, that's how low it was. 2nd one was on some hilly terrain like this one, but instead of a tall foundation, it was encased into the hill. You could literally walk onto the roof of the 3rd floor.
I'm currently digging it out, but it's quite the task.
please, do remember, that this building can set on fire very easily, just a small lava source, or a lightning can do the job.
So remove all lava sources around it, which may touch a tree, clear the trees near this mansion, and craft a Lightning Rod (from copper, I'm sure you have a lot of it)
This happened to me, a broken portal was near this mansion, and the whole mansion just burned to the ground
Yeah dogs will attack skeletons when they're in range...also as Minic said they attack what you attack...but they will not attack creepers
i guess that diamond armour came from that lost hour.
Watching you guys is really fun! Sometimes Minik makes me angry and my anxiety often joins Drews 🥴 But I'm mostly having fun. Really hoping this will be a loooong series ❤️

You can live in it...the vindication and evokes only spawn once...kill them and light the building up with torches or some other light source and the building will become safe

Some areas in the mansion are actually behind the walls and hidden in the roof or behind stairs...you can find treasures in chests is some of these hidden areas

Wow your progress is astounding! I think you’d be well served by a steak farm.
Get yourself some cows, fence them up, feed them wheat, and they will produce a calf. Rinse repeat to have a lot of cows you can kill for steak!
Bonus: you can fill a bucket with milk, and drink it when you’re poisoned to cleanse yourself!

theres a little sword undernearth the crosshare when you swing your sword, if you wait for it to fill up and dissapear before swinging again youll do more damage, if you spam click you will only do 1 damage per swing
You have to right click the friendly blue ghosts (Allays) to give them an item! Otherwise they will fly off or despawn, if they haven’t already. They are quite rare and really useful for gathering items, because they will collect and bring you items which are laying on the floor, but only of the same type of item they are holding. To give them another item right click them with another item.
I've been having such fun watching you figure this game out. It's been so long since I saw someone new play.

13 episodes and it seems you still haven’t figured out the combat system. You can’t just spam attacks. Every time you use a weapon, a little indicator appears under your crosshairs, showing the cooldown in between uses. The attack damage will be at its highest when it’s fully charged. An axe does a lot more damage than a sword, but it has a much longer cooldown. Sorry if that didn’t make sense, but that’s the best way I can explain it

been playing minecraft and watching minecraft youtube content for years. I originally thought I wouldn't be able to watch someone who just jumped into the game. I thought I would get annoyed at the lack of knowledge... but I kept watching, I didn't get annoyed, in fact when you stumble across something new I'm happy for you. I wonder if your friend knows how to make a jukebox and if he still has that disk. I can't wait to see if you ever make it to the dragon. and if you do decide to go beyond that you could eventually learn how to fly! ( yes it is a thing, you need an item, you can't craft it.. and you can only get it after you fight the dragon. )

If you are going to have dogs in multiplayer then don't use swords! Swords often "sweep" and hit everything near by and if you hit another player or their dog their dog will attack you and your dog will attack them. Axes don't do this and do more damage!(but recharge slower, b.t.w. stop spamming attack! spammed attacks do pathetic damage, wait for the weapon to come back up!)

I'm confused? I thought the homie you're playing with was knowledgeable about MC? How has he not seen a mansion? I usually grab a map from a cartographer and loot one of those at least once per playthough.
I mean I'm not denying they aren't common to just stumble upon randomly, but I'm surprised someone who plays Minecraft hasn't seen it.
