I love Kelly she’s such a sweetheart and the least judge mental when it comes too bummer makeup she will tell you the likes or dislikes if any without being mean!
I am definitely the target audience for the Hourglass palettes (only own one Hourglass product, but absolutely love it, have really been wanting to try more, in the mood to spend a little more) and I love the one I bought. For me, it's worth it, but I also don't have a huge collection and have used the palette every day. My only complaint is that I wish the pans were replaceable and that you could pop individually purchased minis in and out and rearrange the order of the pans.
I completely agree, it's not worth going into financial stress to get it, but it is so lovely. I love using it almost every day and I know I'm going to use it up. It would be so sad to get such a special piece of makeup and have it get lost in a huge collection and expire before you've made a good dent in it :/
I bought the jellyfish hourglass palette this year after my mom passed away (truthfully I used it as an excuse to spend the high price tag because I needed a good pick me up) and I absolutely LOVE it! It’s the first time I have boughten anything from hourglass and I truly think it makes my makeup look flawless when I use it! I will be using this almost every time I do my make up (for the finishing powders alone)! I haven’t been big into powder products this year but everytime I use this palette I feel like my make up looks amazing. Definitely gives me a dopamine boost every time I use it!
I'm sorry about your mum. Virtual hugs. I snapped and bought it after talking myself out of it, imho this is the best fair palette I've seen from them (tho not seen all of their releases). I got Ghost in 2019(?), my sole HG palette but this one, no Dim Light (Bye! Finally), that matte bronzer (Ghost had glowy. Ew) and Enchanted Light (which I've never tried, no mini) made all the difference. I went off makeup during pan/family loss/bushfires and I decluttered everything recently and now my makeup sits in one acrylic vanity things in my bathroom (with some liquid foundations in a bag and a bit in my cabinet) which is insanely minimal for me I'm usually a hoarder w/40 foundations at a time so I'm going to be just using this for so many things. Gonna stick to the new minimal but lux me.
I also just cut my hair today from my behind all the way up to the top of my shoulders. I'm cleaning and spouting new growth after 3 years of black earth. I hope you and breannenicole do too xx.
I just bought the hourglass jellyfish palette from Ulta. I actually was able to use a 20 percent off coupon and some of my ulta points. I am really enjoying it ! I was surprised how small the pans actually were. I wish they were a little bit bigger but I have been using it every single day and have been really enjoying my little splurge.
Colourpop has their “new-ish” Shadow stix they released earlier this year. Weirdly the same name as Fenty. The matte ones are great, blend super nicely and wear really well even without primer. I hope they will release more in the future , there are only 4 matte shades.
I had never used an hourglass powder before buying the jellyfish pallete, and i am absolutely obsessed with it. I am able to use every single powder, and i just love the radiant finish it gives my skin as i prefer a more glowy skin finish, but cream products i need to set anyways with powder so they don't melt off. I am so glad i splurged, it is so beautiful to look at as well!
Those Sigma lip creams seem kind of similar to the Buxom Va Va Plump shiny liquid lipsticks from a few years ago. I absolutely adored those and had probably 10 colors, I was so sad when they discontinued them. I'll have to check out the Sigma ones!
I got a bunch of the tarte maracuja lip products during their custom kit sale and I am a fan! The Plump formula is my fave, i got the Honeysuckle shade. I do like the original Juic Lips but the plump is more glossy, eslecially the shade I got! The Maracuja Juicy Lip Creme is also really nice, i like it better than the lipstick version.
i loveeee your speed reviews. i think i’m going to pick up one of the tarte pastel maracuja lip plumps because they’re 40% off on the tarte site right now!!! i’m obsessed with lip liners and i’m dyinggg to try the jones road lip liners and that one princess eyeshadow you love!!! omg, i got the sigma begonia lip cream in the trendmood box i got and i LOVE it!!! i never thought i would’ve seen you reviewing hourglass palettes. no shade, just caught me off guard. 🥰🥰🥰
Sigma has a lip cream as part of their Alice in Wonderland collection which I really loved. I'd say it's a mixture between gloss and a regular lipstick. Interesting they're putting it in different packaging.
Those sigma lip creams seem like something I would be interested in trying. I like pigmented lip products and all the sheer lip glosses look the same to me. I don’t discern any differences.
I remember when elf’s lips were 3$ and the white brushes were one dollar a piece I use to think for the price point a lot of the brand did very well but at the end of the day the price point is increasing and the quality is still mediocre!
Love these videos they are so helpful. I'm always looking for good lip products and sometimes it takes a while to figure it out myself. Been needing more lip liner suggestions, that was helpful. I may try a PH lip product now; I've been holding off. Thank you!
I am asking for the hourglass palette as a gift because I don’t own a single hourglass item, but I could never buy it myself. Ulta has 20% off deals plus points and you can open the card and cancel it right after for an extra 20% off. I can’t afford it either but you can make it work at ulta
Hey Kelly! Looking beautiful 😍. Hourglass is crazy for the price. It's a pass for me. Also the Charlotte Tillbury is way too out there for me. Hard pass. Thanks for reviews that are honest and not spiteful or mean. ❤just your opinions.
The magic cream is a good moisturizer but the only issue is the fragrance…..when it comes to skincare, there shouldn’t be essential oils or fragrance in them due to sensitivity. As for the Fenty shadow stix, they’re okay. I feel like when it comes to celebrity makeup brands….it’s a hit or miss. I saw this random girl on TikTok a few days ago (idk her name) who reviewed the Fenty gloss bomb (Fussy) and in the beginning of the video she admitted that she did not like Rihanna (idk why) but still bought her gloss bomb just to try it, and 5 seconds after applying it she said that she hated it, that Fenty wasn’t a good brand, and not to buy from it at all. So I thought to myself “she’s dramatic first of all, but is she saying it because maybe the gloss just wasn’t for her…..or is it because she already disliked Rihanna, and just needed or wanted to create a reason to hate on her even more?” In my opinion, of course it’s a known that every product works differently for everyone so a product that might work well for someone else, might not work well on me, and vice versa but that’s okay….however, that doesn’t mean that it’s 100% a horrible product, and that the product and person who created it is horrible (depending on who they are) the only way it could be “worst” is if more than like 10 people all hate it for the same reason.
Shoot, I wanted to try some of the Fenty shadow sticks. I've seen a few reviews so far and none of them was really positive, so I'll wait until the sale and get something else instead.
The only product that I am not buying in this video is the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Unlocked Palette -> $90.00 is ridiculous for paying that much for an eyeshadow palette. Everything else I'm buying are: - Jones Road The Lip Pencil in Cognac - TARTE Maracuja Juicy Shift in Bubblegum, Cotton Candy, Rock Candy, Sherbet, Limeade, and Honeysuckle - Catrice Glossing Glow Tinted Lip Oil in Glow For The Show, Drama Mama, and Glossip Girl - Charlotte Tilbury Magic Water Cream Refillable Gel Moisturizer with Niacinamide in a mini size - FENTY Shadowstix Longwear Eyeshadow Stick in Fizzy Frosé - rose gold - Sigma Beauty Lip Creams in New Mod
So I’ve always wanted to try the hourglass powders but every time I’ve swatched them in store they have glitter, but I feel like no one ever talks about it! Does anyone notice glitter on their face??
No defs not! It’s so finely milled in the powder that it just gives the skin such a beautiful glow. Key is to go in with a light hand! I’m seeing so many videos of people over applying their powders and it looks almost heavy on the skin. But if you use a small amount, it smooths the skin out and gives that nice healthy glow :)
One of the finishing powders in Jellyfish has little shimmers, yes. The highlighter is shimmery and glossy (for a powder). In my opinion, the blush and the bronzer are the most special formulas... Because they're silky soft and undetectable in terms of texture on my dry skin! The finishing powder is the same re looking smooth but yeah I have noticed those glitters.
I was wondering if anyone in the comments can help me figure out what the white owl palette is? It seems like I don't see the owl anywhere thats the one I want. How would I purchase the owl one? Is that just a promo picture? And you can't select the pallete with the colors inside? 90$ for all of this confusion makes my brain hurt 🤣
I was refreshing Mecca daily multiple times a day. Jellyfish and Leopard sold out within hours and customer service were all "well they ARE limited edition". Fuming. So I paid $170 for it from Cult Beauty instead of $144 at the imaginary Mecca store I cannot get to. Let's never speak of this again. This was the worst impulse buy of my life. It's been a long and stressful day. Don't go online shopping after a long and stressful day kids.
I love makeup but Hourglass and these palettes they're just way too expensive and over hyped. I swatched them in Space NK today and they're nothing special, £86 for one of those palettes is ridiculous, you can find equivalent blushes and bronzers in drugstore for way cheaper and it'll still look as good. Even swatching the finishing powder it's nothing special. I'd much rather buy drugstore and fill the fridge and freezer because £86 can buy a lot of food
I think to fully appreciate the Hourglass formula you need to try them in your face. They don't swatch well. I am an Hourglass fan though 🤷♀️ But yeah, they are expensive, so not for everyone
the Catrice lip oils leave my lips an unbearable neon pink. I'm very pale and Scandinavian and the colour just looks ridiculous. I can imagine it working well on someone with a darker complexion!
Those sigma lip creams seem like something I would be interested in trying. I like pigmented lip products and all the sheer lip glosses look the same to me. I don’t discern any differences.
Fenty smashes complexion products, I also love the Hella Thic mascara and their glosses. I now am obsessed with the fly liner in truffles thanks to you! But their eyeshadows? So disappointing. Their formulations are just not quality.
I still think that the Hourglass palettes are a terrible value. I am in Europe, so prices may be a bit different, but over here the palettes have the same per gram price as the minis and are about TWICE as expensive as the full sizes. So there is NO value at all, except with the minis, you can actually get the colours you want. All you get for the price is an - admittedly- nicelooking palette. And that's only a goodie if you would usually buy the minis, which I personally dont really do. I love Hourglass ,but they are terribly overpriced. I don't mind spending too much money on makeup, but I wish people would stop saying that these palettes are a good value. You at least compare them to the minis, but I think you are one of the only persons on YT to do that. Most people will just ignore the terrible per gram price and pretend that these have great value. Just for comparison, here are a few luxury products that all have a better per gram value than the Hourglass palettes: cle de peau highlighter, clé de peau blush, Chanel winter edition blush, Chanel Highlighter, Dior Bronzer, Tom Ford Bronzer, Chantecaille Bronzer, Sisley Bronzer, La Mer Highlighter, D&G Highlighter etc. And I just randomly picked out some of the most expensive brands I could think of. All a better value than the Hourglass palettes. The three shade palettes have a better value, too. Still worse than the full-size singles, but better than these six pans. Anyways. Still love your video. :) it's not you that I find frustrating, it's Hourglass ' pricing.😂
I would NEVER EVER consider spending $90 for some powders to put on my face. That's like 2 weeks of meals I could put on the table. I bet you can get the same effect from any of the million highlighter/blushes you can find at the drugstore.
Exactly, 💯 agree with you. They're just way too expensive and over hyped.

Thanks for the speed reviews especially for someone who has a short attention span. ❤

Those jones road lip liners sound excellent! Thanks for the review.

I do like the original Juic Lips but the plump is more glossy, eslecially the shade I got! The Maracuja Juicy Lip Creme is also really nice, i like it better than the lipstick version.
I make a square stencil with a clear palette insert. It works great to not mix into any other shades when using your brush.
i loveeee your speed reviews. i think i’m going to pick up one of the tarte pastel maracuja lip plumps because they’re 40% off on the tarte site right now!!! i’m obsessed with lip liners and i’m dyinggg to try the jones road lip liners and that one princess eyeshadow you love!!! omg, i got the sigma begonia lip cream in the trendmood box i got and i LOVE it!!! i never thought i would’ve seen you reviewing hourglass palettes. no shade, just caught me off guard. 🥰🥰🥰
I love my hourglass…. When I travel it’s all I take for blush, bronzer and highlighter… so easy… beautiful colors
So glad you mentioned Skinfix moisturizer! It is the best for my dry skin.
Hi Kelly! Thank you so much for this review. I was about to order two of the Fenty Eyeshadow Sticks.
You look sooooo beautiful
Sigma has a lip cream as part of their Alice in Wonderland collection which I really loved. I'd say it's a mixture between gloss and a regular lipstick. Interesting they're putting it in different packaging.
Great video! These are always so helpful when deciding what’s worth the price! Thanks so much❤

I think their quality has improved considerably.
I love how you don't push us to buy more products and tell us when differences between products are minimal!
Isla Fisher
I really want the jelly fish palette but I have 2 from last year that I never use so 😅
I don't own any of the hourglass palettes. I think if it is what you want, it Isa good deal. $15 per pan isn't bad. I might have to get it.
Love these videos they are so helpful. I'm always looking for good lip products and sometimes it takes a while to figure it out myself. Been needing more lip liner suggestions, that was helpful. I may try a PH lip product now; I've been holding off. Thank you!
I love the look of the Jellyfish palette but there are tons of gorgeous palettes similar to Jellyfish at a better price point!
Oh really , can you name a few of them ? I’d like to look into getting some thanks
I am asking for the hourglass palette as a gift because I don’t own a single hourglass item, but I could never buy it myself. Ulta has 20% off deals plus points and you can open the card and cancel it right after for an extra 20% off. I can’t afford it either but you can make it work at ulta
Rimmel is cruelty free now ?! Thats FANTASTIC, ill actually buy their products now 😊
Hey Kelly! Looking beautiful 😍. Hourglass is crazy for the price. It's a pass for me. Also the Charlotte Tillbury is way too out there for me. Hard pass. Thanks for reviews that are honest and not spiteful or mean. ❤just your opinions.
I got the mini size of the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Water Cream and I WISH I didn't like it so much...but I absolutely LOVE it. My poor wallet...
Love me some NYX and Rimmel lip liners. The NYX Line Out Loud ones have reeeeal staying power. It's a pity we can only get like, 5 trash colours here.

The packaging on the Jones road lip liners remind me of the make up forever lip/eyeliners...also do you curl your lashes before putting on mascara?

Can anyone recommend a drugstore eyebrow gel for me? I have been using ABH and I think it’s too heavy for my fine brow hairs
I LOVE my new hourglass ladies. Treat yourself

Some do indeed show the glitter. For example luminous light finishing powder on me looks like glitter where as dim light is satin and flawless.

The white owl is just different packaging! You can change out the different exterior packaging and the owl is one of the options!

i’m sure that hourglass brush can be duped by the real techniques fluffy blush brush, they look very similar.

Hour glass pallet is 122.00 in Canada yikes guess I will just admire from a far 😂
Love this video, but love your hair color even more…..perfection!
You're not the first person I hear to be surprised by the Fenty lip Juice, lol.
