Why are u almost taking a switch step to kick with ur back leg ?
Yes my right leg is slightly stepping forward. This is to add speed to the leg kick. The punches in this drill are not meant to be powerful punches with a full extension. The punches are used to get a reaction of a high defense of my opponent so it opens up their legs to be attacked. It is basically for speed purposes so you do not have to do a full reset after the Cross. However, a full extension and reset after the cross can be done as well to break up the rhythm. It really just depends on what you are trying to accomplish. There are many variations of this. This was just a simple example. Thanks for watching!
