The currency stash tab would also be huge for you! Quick tip, right click on the tab bar in the top of your stash window and you can configure different types of items to go into different tabs by default, even if you're on a different tab. Really useful when you get the other specific tabs for all your currency/crafting items.
Saving up your currency is good, but only save your Exalts and Vaal and up. Orbs of Alteration and Transmutation you should be using now, to see if you get a good physical damage roll, and if so you can use Regals to upgrade it to rare and see if you wanna build it more or not
I hope you know, but the items that drop with sockets can be salvaged at a bench in town for fragments that can be combined to put sockets in the gear you're wearing. Nice to accumulate those. You can tell the items drop with sockets because they'll have a little square (or two) next to their name when on the ground.
One tip for damage is that for the most part getting the highest physical damage roll on your weapon is king. Ideally flat physical and you always want %physical, even if you are elemental build (always slot Iron Runes on weapon). There are some exceptions on skills that only scale with a stat like strength (corrupted blood warrior) or levels to that skill (totem warrior as well). The reason for this is because if you read the tooltip for your skills, most of them say they Convert % of physical damage to whatever element that skill is. Monks usually build around Lightning/Ice, so keep an eye out for flat damage rolls of those on rings/gauntlets as well which helps with Shock/Freeze buildup.
Another thing is when hovering over a passive node in your tree, if you hold shift(?) it will compare dps before and after you take it so you can see how much you gain.
Something important to note about defense in poe and poe2, both armor and evasion can be misleading. For example, the "60% chance to evade" stat doesn't mean you'll avoid every second attack-it means you'll avoid 60% of attacks from a white-tier enemy at the same level as you. Against stronger enemies, such as bosses, evasion becomes less reliable because it depends on the accuracy of the enemy, which varies by type. Similarly, armor is most effective against small hits but provides much less protection against high-damage hits, so its effectiveness decreases as enemy damage scales up. In general, evasion works better against enemies with low accuracy, while armor is best for mitigating smaller, more frequent hits. The key takeaway is that both evasion and armor are less effective against stronger enemies, so it’s important to use multiple layers of defense to survive. Consider combining them with things like block, spell suppression, or flat damage reduction for better survivability! (this is all just generalized, I'm pretty sure what im saying is kinda wrong, just the core idea is true)
@@sloesty yeah ES feels like the strongest defensive option rn, especially since it has the fewest drawbacks when focusing solely on stacking it. In comparison, armor tends to feel underwhelming, even if you invest heavily into it. With evasion, you can achieve a medium to high amount and get decent survivability, but it still won't save you from one-shots when the inevitable big hit comes. On average, ES can provide around 6-8k effective HP in most builds that are close to the int side of the skill tree, and with Grim Feast, you can push it closer to 10k in maps. It’s not invincible, but it generally feels more consistent.
I love the unique collection tab. I try to collect every single unique every time there's a new league. I hope this game adds a bestiary though (a bestiary that collects monster info, not the one we had in PoE 1).
That intro really resonated with me as a lvl 89 2H Titan stuck in 1 shot hell. You start the game using basic attacks then move on to being a swiss army knife of possibilities only to be knocked down to a one trick pony during mapping *sigh*. No, I do not wanna run that 1 meta build that relies on 3 different uniques that shoe horns your build into a 1 button click snore fest.
I can’t even get to end game I’m almost level 70 warrior and I’ve made it back to utzaal on cruel and I haven’t touched the game in two days not including the 10mins I spent there testing how armor feels now compared to two days ago and it still feels like shit. Getting res on gear feels like such a chore and idk how high it’s suppose to be to where you don’t get one shot by everything but chaos res is also super annoying to get on anything so I’m kinda over the game at this point it doesn’t feel good or fun.
I know you want to save stuff but the game is designed with you spending at least some of that even while leveling. Keeping exalts and vaals and that stuff is good. Alterations, augmentations and regals you should be using when your gear is falling behind. You’re going to be getting way more of them later anyways. The devs themselves said they want you to be able to craft for upgrades while leveling.
Oh i appreciate this intro a lot, i think people just got spooked by the "if this keeps going ill quit" title last time so they were scrambling to give tips. I feel better knowing you just chilling now too, cant wait to see what you cook up then :D
saving the exalts ,chaos, vaal is good for late game / trading later . transmutation and alteration on the other you will end up with more than you could ever use and they'r no good in trading either very low value . but you somehow make it look easy idk if it's monk being op or you'r just good . i had to stop multiple times during my playthrough to take a deep look into my build so i can progress .
I had to pause when i saw your edit at the start, Jesus that was funny. 😂😂❤. Yes, play the game like you want, thats the purpose. Dont mistake me trying to give some tips as anger though, im enjoying your playthrough. As long as your aware that crafting is an option my job is complete.
Hey Moo dont be too scared pressing your orbs, in late game they will drop waaaay more. Also it's just fun to gamble for upgrades. ( Also if you ever decide to trade you can buy like 30 regal orbs for 1 exalted orb in currency exchange )
Best bit i have seen about endgame yet. But it is not entirely true in this game. The circles on the ground in the apex of filth boss fight are curses. Each color does a different affect. This is good to know for endgame and future runs on different characters. Glad I am getting a series on this game since I have enjoyed it fully already. Started my 2nd character with you and have been playing along in cruel just to keep pacing:)
I mean the only thing I can say is to have a Lootfilter on (it doesn't have to filter anything for now). Just have it for that sweet sweet sound effects of getting good drops. Highly recommended
Man, that's crazy, I made the same exact mistake on my Monk by picking Meditation in my ascendancy with almost no energy shield and then respecializing into Shock Effect/I am the Thunder ... later on.
Damn the bird fight is cool! I never saw that one :D and yeh first Chaos trial is 4/10 the other ones are 10/10 but there is more to it :). Super sweet playthrough i love it
Dude, with your Dark Souls reflex you can go through the endgame with sub-par gears. But when you reach the endgame, you might want to trade for better gears using ur exalt because most are better than directly upgrading your gear with it.
Only tip I've seen so far is that in the gemcutting menu, you're only getting the suggested ones. You can also click on the last tab for all gems and go completely cricket style. Also please play Journey.
Quick fyi mythy When youre switching your charms mid room, they will remain empty(No Charge) until you make it to a checkpoint or hit your well 👍 not sure if it recharges like the flasks or not
Thank you minky man. This was playing in the background while I played my alt and I got 1 unique, 1 divine and 5 exalts. Now I know why you have shitty drop rates.
Yo Myth i found an amazing game named MO:Astray. This game has just 3k reviews on steam which is insane for how polished and surprisingly fresh it is. It's not an ad, i'm just a really big fan of this game and would love to see it get the recognition it deserves. Would love to see you play it
The main reason y ive watch all of these videos is cause, he's doing way better than my first time. So i dont think he needs my input even tho im endgame. if it works, it works
He’s playing the game and having fun why are we still trying to make him use orbs lmao he gave a very clear reason for not wanting to and he’s still progressing at a good rate so why are yall so mad lmao
People mocking him for trying to get uniques... meanwhile there's All4One by Lighty that people watch with great interest. He's trying to gather all uniques in the Path of Exile 1. And it's still going to this day!
As long as you're having you should do whatever you want. one of the reason I never said anything. I'll give tips if you ask for them. TILL THEN HAVE FUN EXILE
Try to get your ele res around 40% and chaos res around 20% for campaign coz you lost 10% to all ele res every acts also chaos res important around act 3 coz of so many poison enemies
You say you will get better gear an hour later, but hasn't it been like 5 hours since you replaced gear? lmao jkjk When I play I hoard those like I hoard elixers in Final Fantasy so I can't say much but poke fun at it. xD
Basically end game is “vampire survivor” on drugs. Change my mind 😂 Thats why I resonate with you. I still enjoying the campaign by repeating acts multiple times and try multiple characters until full release happen.
hey that poe1 endgame joke was amazing, sadly thats a little sideeffect of the comunity of a game centered arround efficency^^ they sometimes forget about having fun instead of optimising, you doing good keep at it :D
You're still missing the point. Playing your way and not using the things games gives you that are ONLY GOOD in early game is not "strategy" but just not reading and ignoring mechanics. 95% of currency is useless lategame, tbf if you play trade 99% of it beside Divines/Exalts are useless, just use all blue orbs and regal you find to keep upgrading your gear, replacing items is almost impossible in campaign without some craft+vendor gambling
HE STILL GOING ON ABOUT THOSE UNIQUES? Befriend me, ill give you a full stash of em. Hell, two if you want. Ive hogged them and they are useless. If i kept all of them I would have needed several quad tabs
People that refuse to understand the game mechanics and refuse to follow advices that are supposed to help on making the game easier and more enjoyable are the worst. Not coming back to this channel. It makes sense for your channel to be a flop, 600k subs and barelly reaching 20k views and 2k likes.
Dude, just think of it like a broken sword run on dark souls, some people get enjoyment out of limiting themselves. It's not like he isn't listening to us at all.
My man, the 1:30 bit had me on the floor, one of the few real ones out there
The currency stash tab would also be huge for you! Yes make him spend his money
*Enter the Apex of Filth* "I don't wanna enter Asmongold's Room." BROOO 🤣🤣🤣
Saving up your currency is good, but only save your Exalts and Vaal and up. Orbs of Alteration and Transmutation you should be using now, to see if you get a good physical damage roll, and if so you can use Regals to upgrade it to rare and see if you wanna build it more or not

Ideally you always layer. Except with es. Just stack that.

@mcd0563 es+evasion hybrid on invoker monk also goes hard'
My tip is to zoom in again with the Filth boss for the next intro, you can pet the rat as a thank
Your fight with napuatzi was Stellar! I struggled so much against her on my first time XDD
I love the unique collection tab. I try to collect every single unique every time there's a new league. I hope this game adds a bestiary though (a bestiary that collects monster info, not the one we had in PoE 1).
Also, recent patch actually made a lot of uniques better! Could find some better ones worth using now.
the orbs are for early game lol. You dont use them late game when tiered rares start dropping for you....

true
bro is spittin at the beginning. thats how i played it
Oh i appreciate this intro a lot, i think people just got spooked by the "if this keeps going ill quit" title last time so they were scrambling to give tips. I feel better knowing you just chilling now too, cant wait to see what you cook up then :D
well said mythyman i love watching ur playthrough. as a poe1 vet this is hella refreshing to watch! pog
you get so much currency in the endgame that you may as well use the ones you find in the campaign to upgrade gear to get to endgame quicker
saving the exalts ,chaos, vaal is good for late game / trading later . transmutation and alteration on the other you will end up with more than you could ever use and they'r no good in trading either very low value . but you somehow make it look easy idk if it's monk being op or you'r just good . i had to stop multiple times during my playthrough to take a deep look into my build so i can progress .
Elemental penetration can`t lower enemy resist below 0. It have effect only if monster has "Resist to lightning" mod.

THANK YOU FOR MORE MYTHYMOOO
I mean the only thing I can say is to have a Lootfilter on (it doesn't have to filter anything for now). Just have it for that sweet sweet sound effects of getting good drops. Highly recommended
The thing is... The more friends you play with, the better the loot becomes
Loved the montage at the beginning
Hey so all you guys who were mad at me saying, telling me myth is dumb and isn’t learning… I hope this intro helped you understand what I was saying
Best into ever
while you are buying stash tabs already, currency tab is basically a must, everything else is convenience
Next time you get a uncut skill gem look in the all gems section in the bottom left, you can equip alot more then just the recommended.
Man, that's crazy, I made the same exact mistake on my Monk by picking Meditation in my ascendancy with almost no energy shield and then respecializing into Shock Effect/I am the Thunder ... later on.

I wish someone would just walk up to me and say: you are sick design!
Your ancestors will always be disappointed until you complete lmtsr mod
Only tip I've seen so far is that in the gemcutting menu, you're only getting the suggested ones. You can also click on the last tab for all gems and go completely cricket style.
Also please play Journey.
He did it at 8:04
Quick fyi mythy When youre switching your charms mid room, they will remain empty(No Charge) until you make it to a checkpoint or hit your well 👍 not sure if it recharges like the flasks or not
It can have the gain charge suffix
Thank you minky man. This was playing in the background while I played my alt and I got 1 unique, 1 divine and 5 exalts. Now I know why you have shitty drop rates.
Only advice I can give gearwise is be on the lookout for boots with +movement speed, those things are rarer than uniques I STG
im here for the mythmoo rant, you do you boo!
highly recommend a loot filter
If you play in a team the mobs are more difficult but give you more rewards.
Yo Myth i found an amazing game named MO:Astray. This game has just 3k reviews on steam which is insane for how polished and surprisingly fresh it is. It's not an ad, i'm just a really big fan of this game and would love to see it get the recognition it deserves. Would love to see you play it
loot filter recommended my friend, neversink's loot filter probably. Easy asf to setup.. literally drag and drop.
yeah I think buying the currency tab and unique tab would be huge quality of life for your journey
whats that orb that circles your character?
Finally!! I hope you enjoy poe2
mythymoo, I can always count on you to make me realize I have a skill issue. lol.
9:11 11% atkspeed is crazy on gloves
Never played the Game but I can still give you my tip
To everyone that was back seating and now pouting, fuck the meta lol
People mocking him for trying to get uniques... meanwhile there's All4One by Lighty that people watch with great interest. He's trying to gather all uniques in the Path of Exile 1.
And it's still going to this day!
I've only had 3 unique drops and I'm starting Act 3 Cruel. Maybe I just don't have enough item find.
Lmao the POE 1 endgame bit is so true, still my fave game ever tho
Energy shield is very good right now, stack that shit
If myth truly loved cats he wouldve bought Sunprism cat and
Celestial Cat Pet
I had to think of CI reading the title
#stillwaitingfornikerealgodreveal
every third or so week stash tabs have discount
The thing is those aren't for endgame lol you'll never use them then. It's all specifically for now. They come pretty often
You do you, just enjoy your first playtrough
seems the path is getting to you exile.. stay sane
He did not do the Ukulele apology. UNACCEPTABLE!!
I feel bad about my crafting comment now. I wasn't sure if he was aware rather than trying to influence his gameplay.
I am in act 3 now at the point you are and I've not gotten a SINGLE unique ever
i am waiting for the ice build :P
You're basically using a wooden stick as weapon and still have a better leveling expierence than my chayula monk. 😢
Preach minkyman
Yeah, You dont need to use your currency- you've been doing fine such an ethical gigachad gamer
Future me, does he get a unique in this video?
Edit: he sure did! 👏👏👏👏
if u want a more chill leveling and not use currency check the weapon and armour vendor every level
As long as you're having you should do whatever you want. one of the reason I never said anything. I'll give tips if you ask for them. TILL THEN HAVE FUN EXILE
u miss a place before the cauldron monster... there's a boss that u miss.
Baba boi.
Just trade the currency you have for better gear.. don't use it on a gear.. buy a gear on trade.. currency stash tabs!
Day 1359 of asking Myth to finish Hellblade
Oh my so now he doesnt want to play the game like the way is supposed to be played hahahahah man i love you
Try to get your ele res around 40% and chaos res around 20% for campaign coz you lost 10% to all ele res every acts also chaos res important around act 3 coz of so many poison enemies
Good luck in cruel, it's gonna be the same but a little easier since you stronk now.
day 53 of shaving homeless people's heads until george plays altered alma
He gonna burn out of the game before using a single orb
UNIQUES. ARE. NOT. VALUABLE
Bro is saving transmutes for endgame
YES MORE POE 2
You say you will get better gear an hour later, but hasn't it been like 5 hours since you replaced gear? lmao jkjk
When I play I hoard those like I hoard elixers in Final Fantasy so I can't say much but poke fun at it. xD
Basically end game is “vampire survivor” on drugs.
Change my mind 😂
Thats why I resonate with you.
I still enjoying the campaign by repeating acts multiple times and try multiple characters until full release happen.
The amount of people backseat gaming about transmute orb in act 3 gameplay is astonishing😂
yo
don't act all stoic on us, we know how much you cut out with your one mod ring, you susy man -_-
hey that poe1 endgame joke was amazing, sadly thats a little sideeffect of the comunity of a game centered arround efficency^^ they sometimes forget about having fun instead of optimising, you doing good keep at it :D
Day 124
Furi

Unless you have over 100% rare drop it doesn't really make any difference according to some poe content creators
Yall cry so damn much dude
poe players are awful when it comes to backseating, they want you to play their way and thats the only way in their mind lmao
i love poe but i miss mythy moo pokemon
