This lovely instrument is so addictive to use! The FP90x nurtures even greater love and passion for piano-playing. One small recommendation though: change the activation color of some buttons like the metronome from red to [green or blue]. Red usually means warning or danger on the road. Green or blue feels much more positive to look at.
Roland, I have the FP-10 and I love it. And how it feels like a real piano I mostly use it as a MIDI controller. But if I'm going to upgrade I'll need MIDI 2.0 and polyphonic aftertouch for synths. I have the Naitive Instruments S88 MK3 in sight but I'd hate to lose the build in sounds and spreakers that the FP line has... So please come up with with a digital keyboard/controller that has: Graded hummer action keys, PHA-4 or PHA-50 with polyphonic aftertouch. Build in spreakers with your sound engines. MIDI 2.0, MIDI in/out/through, line out, USB-C, triple pedals, pitch-mod wheels and stick. Nice design like the Casio Privia line (glossy finish) with Different colors, black, white and red, including ALL BLACK VERSION with ALL BLACK KEYS PLEASE I'm dieing to have a keyboard like this! Optional features: Large screen (like NI S88 MK3), Drum Pads, Faders (like M-Audio Hammer 88 Pro), Endless Encoders, transport controls and great DAW integration. And RGB light guides for the keys (like NI S88 MK3) If this is too much, easy answer: Just put polyphonic aftertouch in the FP-E50 and we're good. Come on! There is a hole in the market right now there are no 88 hummer action Polyphonic Aftertouch MIDI keyboards with built in spreakers and sounds. And I want it!
if only it can have a color LCD display... I think for example, once the DGX-670 has it, Yamaha can't go back with its DGX-680 with a black and white one
I thought the modelling was basically samples with manipulation/modulation in accordance with the physics of an acoustic piano. They slightly do this with their SuperNatural Acoustic engine used in the FA keyboards and few other products.
The layering button looks inconvenient to use. In this case the notes you were playing just happened to exactly align with the slider. Is a pedal control available?
What is the type of cable with use from output roland to mixer/soundcard..? Is the balanced cable/stereo, or unbalanced cable/mono..?? Please help me.. Thanks..
The FP is great - the action is the best I've felt on any stage/portable synth piano. But, continuing in my disappointment in Roland, they do not correctly model the ratio of the harmonics and overtones to the fundamental in the lower register of the grand piano models - and how they are supposed to sound OUTSIDE the piano cabinet.
The FP-30x and FP-60x use the PHA-4 action, while the FP-90x uses the PHA-50, which is present in their higher end home digitals as well. The PHA-50 should more closely emulate an acoustic piano action, if that's the kind of think you're looking for.
@@knob2974 Thanks for the info. I might get this or the next model up a year and half from now. Got the fp30x this year and so far I think its great but as I improve I think I'll want something a little nicer.
Hi everyone. I have the FP90X myself. I just did some recordings and saved in the internal memory of the piano, now I can't seem to download these recordings or find a way to transfer them to my phone or laptop. If someone could help me out with this issue I would be very thankful. Cheers

Better if you would have show room where you don't sell anything, Just show. I was in such place by casio in Moscow and it was perfect experience. Where you touch, play and ask questions and no one wanna sell sonething for you.
I ordered this roland-piano seven month ago (vienna /austria), still waiting for it and the seller doesn't get any information from roland. the same thing with yamaha.

it's red for "DON'T YOU DARE PLAYING OUT OF SYNC!!!!!" :P
Perfect stage piano....Bravo Roland

What song does he start playing at 7:08? It's the very last song...
Nice! Are all the instruments sample free? All synthesis algorithms, physical modelling and such?
Just the first 8 pianos are modeled. The rest are samples.
So are there any sample pianos?
Think it stands up to sampled instruments? I’m interested in it, tired of Nord samples and low polyphony.
I thought the modelling was basically samples with manipulation/modulation in accordance with the physics of an acoustic piano. They slightly do this with their SuperNatural Acoustic engine used in the FA keyboards and few other products.
That’s amazing. Makes one want to learn piano
Love it!
can you do a step by step on saving sounds to flash drive and recalling them
What was the arrangement / song you played during the concert demo
Good piano, but ... where can I buy it?
The layering button looks inconvenient to use. In this case the notes you were playing just happened to exactly align with the slider. Is a pedal control available?
No knobs or mod/pitch bend wheels?
What is the type of cable with use from output roland to mixer/soundcard..?

Please help me..
Thanks..
As a gamer I always hear synth bass tone on this, like you’d hear in an old video game.
Does this have the same Keybed action as the Roland Rd 2000?
Availability in Australia seems to be very limited. Are there plans to ship more soon?
What’s the initial song called?
what is the name of the first piano song?
The FP is great - the action is the best I've felt on any stage/portable synth piano. DISCULPE EN QUE ES MEJOR ESTE PIANO DEL YAMAHA P515. SALUDOS!
Thr piano sounds like Casio? When will keyboards sound like piano? Lacks soul. I have the fp7f...is this any better? Don't think so.
How do the keys feel when playing compared to the FP-30X are they the same or upgraded?

You can copy internal songs onto a USB stick, then from USB stick to computer. 👍🏻
