      Yes I thought this was a great adjustment by the Nuggets. They also increased their pace a lot and tried to cross halfcourt in 2-3 seconds so Wolves can't fullcourt press them and make them start their sets late in the shotclock. They were playing with a lot of pace in their halfcourt sets too by quickly moving the ball around and making the Wolves D scramble.
      Series got interesting - curious how the Wolves will respond.

      Yet this video did nothing to compare the officiating between game 2 prison rules and game 3. The wolves so shocked that McDaniels were hacking as usual and suddenly they were all fouls. Based on game 3 standard the ‘best defense in NBA’ in game 2 were all fouls. The wolves that physically chop their opponents and win by forcing turnovers and score in transition suddenly cant do it any more. Thats how Denver won, as the wolves cannot play rugby in a basketball game in game 3.

I called Kat charging KCP a foul while it wasn’t a foul charging Jamal in game 2? I didnt. The NBA refs did. Its pathetic to call this the best defense when its easily shut down by the refs. The wolves live and die by the officiating in this series and its very obvious if you watched the games. Im all for physical games, but its hypocritical when game 2 is the only game officiated like how it did.

      Timing, patience and aggressiveness. The wolves are relying on a lock on defense on some poss. where you could see that they overcommit. Denver manage to exploit that on game 3. Wait for the defender to commit, move the ball, wait again for a defender, move the ball again and attack. Wolves length works if your moving the ball closely but not when the floor is space and ball is moving quicker. Spurs used to do these type of plays in some games.
      Denver didnt change any rotation in game 3. They just change the play and role. I want to see if it still would work in game 4. Cuz i just dont think nuggets going to lose this series easily. If not they might turn this around.

    Denver sent A LOT of tape to the league this week 100% guaranteed. Which was warranted. Game 1 was Gobert committing 3 second violations the entire game. Game 2 was MN hacking the shit out of everyone especially Murray and not getting called for it. The league is lucky that Murray only threw a heating pad instead of players throwing punches. Cuz that’s what game 3 was gonna be otherwise

    The biggest change was refs actually calling fouls when defenders were hacking players lol
    Denver plays best when they can probe defenses in their half court sets (ie not being physically hounded), Minnie plays best when their big defenders are given leeway to be physical. So I think it's fair to say the rest of this series depends on how the refs call the remaining games.

      I read somewhere that blowouts are actually up in the NBA. Maybe because of the emphasis on 3pt shooting. If you fall behind, you can fall behind for good, if their shot is dropping and yours isn't. We saw the Celtics get blown out during the season, despite being one of the best teams.

    • @t4d0W
      @t4d0W 10 дней назад

      Hell in the 2022 NBA Finals the Celtics gave their fans a glimmer of hope having a lights out 3-point shooting game 1 vs the Warriors. Then the Warriors put the clamps on the Jays and Steph went on to score 30+ points in the series outside of two games. In that same playoff year in the Grizz/Warriors series, the Grizz dropped 134 on the Warriors in game 5 and their fans thought it was a signal for a come back. Then Warriors clamped down and won game 6 and the series. Being down 2 games early on doesn't mean shit because it goes back to the other home team and adjustments can be made.

Nuggets made a great adjustment in their pace and having Jokic or AG bring the ball up so they can get into their sets faster since Wolves can't fullcourt press Murray. The series is a chess match, I'm curious to see how the Wolves will adjust and respond in Game 4. I think Ant will be a lot more aggressive.
    What was interesting though was the physicality allowed in Game 2 and Game 3 were very different - wish there was consistency and the NBA can make up their mind.
