New tweeter Diaphragm for Cerwin Vega CLS-215

Some adjustments were needed to get it to fit.
It is important that the diaphragm is centered in the middle of the tweeter magnet, otherwise it will not produce sound or it will only produce bad sound.
I used my broken tweeter to copy the magnet holes for the correct placement

I bought the XLS 215 used and the midranges are all black like these in the video but normally you see them with red edges.
Why were they replaced by the previous owner?
Or are there different versions?
If you can let me know thanks.

Hello ! Did you check that the tweeter is in dead center before fitting the screws to the magnet? This can have a huge impact on the quality of the sound. Even if it slightly touch.
You should play music for some hours before judging the sound quality. This has to do with the stiffness of the tweeter and the older one is more lose.
As quality of the sound i will say they sounded the same after having them repaired. Hope this helps 👍🏻
