This video was so great! I love that you actually stay in the hotel and show your room and your family actually in the pool and restaurant. It really sets you apart from the other hotel walk throughs. And I have to say, you have the cutest kids on the planet! Your baby’s cheeks and her smile are absolutely priceless❤
The Halekulani has 3 restaurants and other dining options. Le Mer (fine dining, dress code, no small children, dinner only, open limited evenings ). Orchids ( breakfast daily, lunch and dinner daily, Sunday brunch, resort casual during the day, resort “dressy”for dinner). House Without a Key ( breakfast buffet daily, lunch and dinner daily, or just cocktails and pupus, daily evening live music and hula dancer, resort casual attire) Poolside lunch and drink service available for registered guests. Advanced reservations are recommended for all Halekulani restaurants as they often book full. We’ve stayed at the Halekulani for many years and this is our recent personal experience. Aloha.
Look into renting a condo in Waikiki that has FREE parking. This is a great way to stay where all the action is and not have to drive. Hotel parking can run up to $60. A day!
First off Happy New Year! Wonderful video! I was sad to hear the service level has taken a hit since the renovation. It is my usual place to stay when on Oahu. The second shocker was a resort hotel that doesn’t charge resort fees- how unusual, especially considering the norm in the industry has been to tack on that fee even when it has zero resort amenities.
Happy New Year and thanks for watching. Turtle Bay is a wonderful place to stay. It is just the renovation and new management brought a higher price level. We didn't feel the price matched a change in service that one would expect at that price point.
We are planning our second trip to Oahu. Our first was in 2019 before the restrictions on vacation home rentals went into effect. All we've learned so far is there are 30 day minimum stay laws with some areas even up to 3 month minimums. Do you have a video or info explaining what these restrictions are and what is considered a "legal" rental? We can not stay for 30 days, we are only coming for a week. Thanks for your channel, I'm learning a lot.
We are coming out with an article as it is complicated by island. That rule you mentioned was struck down in the courts. You can vaca rent short term in Waikiki and turtle Bay Area. If a house is in a residential neighborhood then it may not be legal.
What? no Royal Hawaiian? (i love the Kahala! I grew up on that beach, finger snaps under the lagoon bring the dolphins around (one local boy to another). Aloha!
thanks for watching! We are big fan of the Royal Hawaiian. We included that in our luxury Waikiki hotel video here: ruclips.net/video/Es3N_QnRxTY/видео.html The Kahala and Royal are classics, well worth a stay or visit
DONT STAY IN THE BUNGALOW. It has no beach, just a bunch of rocks. The nice beach is way on the other side. They advertise that they give you white glove service and help you create your itinerary, but **THEY DO NOT**. You cant call them. You can only Text them and they dont always reply to your text. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. We paid $2500/night for the Bungalow and it WASNT WORTH THE PRICE.
I quit watching when you said how nice it was to swim and listen to captive dolphins. and, yeah, I've heard the schtick about good they are to the captives. where did I hear that before?

I stayed at Turtle Bay in 1998 when it was a Hilton property and the balconies were falling off. 🤥
the remodel fixed that! It has changed a lot but still the same layout and beach vibe feel
