As an Eagle Scout this story both makes perfect sense for someone not used to camping but also hurts to imagine how it was to go through that.

I did not actually notice that, YOU'RE JUST DIRTY MINDED.
Store-bought logs are normally recently cut and chopped so not dry which is probably why it was so smokey. Ty for the story and good job trying to stick it out! No one is great on their first try!

I TOO threw up in the woods when I went camping! It was my first and only trip! Still better than my friend- she got a kidney infection! And while my loving Papa picked me up early the day before, she ended up driving to the hospital at like 2 in the morning because of pain. (She's fine now, we laugh about the terrible trip today).
