American culture is interesting and so different from mine. I'm Italian and if back in highschool they told any of us girls to do all this, dressed like that, in front of classmates of all ages and teachers, we would have felt sick to the stomach. Sport and performances are great and fun, but why aren't girls worth a full outfit and have to bounce around in basically a long shirt. That hasn't much to do with sport but more with visuals.

Why has US cheering done away with the pleated skirts and a lot dont use the pompoms? Im British and curious. Is it health and safety madness?
No it uses other skirts too not just pleated at our school we have the other ones and we always use Pom poms what do u mean 😅
