They really made this feud feel deserving of that I Quit main event match at Full Gear. For a last minute feud they've built it great, Mox and Kingston are gold
Out of all the matches on the card at Full Gear, this match is the one I look forward to the most.
I have to admit, THIS is the fire that FTR and Young Bucks need to light their feud further. I know FTR can dish it but both teams haven't been delivering it. Sure, they provided a different style to build their feud but that fire capped off too soon. They NEED to bring that intensity of "I am number #1", and if it cannot be delivered well in a live show then bring it in pre-recorded videos via interviews and so on. Perhaps, if Eddie or Cody were the director/s behind the scenes to bring fire to their feud that would be great for both teams. After all, no gripe to either team, a person thinking from a "third person" perspective always think more logical and creative than the one that is thinking from a first-person.

You dont reallly see it like this in most promotions almost ever, My wife isnt a wrestling fan and when Eddie jumped in as Jon was talking like "Who cares, I don't care" She thought it was foreal cus of how angry Mox and Eddie looked at that moment.
the only other promo I've watched with my girl that she wasnt sure if it was real or not was Brock and Samoa Joe after Brock beat him at the PPV and Joe was like "You didn't beat me, you survived me" And Brock like headbutted him and got in his face and screamed

This is one of the best promo's in AEW history. I love this feud. And i hope one day Kingston can win the AEW World Championship. But for now, Moxley is on the top of the world.
It’s like we say that every couple of moths in AEW though. Their promos are just superior to the big brand.
They need to let Kingston win by beating Mox until he needs a stretcher, then have Kingston go on a 3-6 month run as a kingpin, just the most violent champion

@@9jchrist1 Yo in my opinion if AEW doesn't want to become to predictable make him beat Moxly with a hidden weapon, like a brass knuckles where he just keeps hitting Mox until Mox face is all blood, and he doesn't ask him if he quits and the medics come in to take Mox who should black out and they should announce he has broken ribs, and they don't know when he will be returning.
Then give Kingston 3-6 months holding the Tittle, where he becomes like a Kingpin, where he can't be touched and when he defends his title always a no DQ. In I would say 2 months make him get paranoid that someone is after him, trying to hurt him, and he starts getting more violent, and eventually loses most of his faction and it turns out in 4 months it was Mox who has been sending him messages of violence like a replicate of his head to his mom. And make Mox show up as a camera man or a fake cop to attack Kingston and have a crazy brawl where Mox injures Kingston to where he is in a Wheel chair so they make an interim Belt until he heals up. So for another 2 months Kingston is still Champion and causing a lot of problems, then at the next Full Gear have him defend the Belt in a Fatal Five Way No DQ, KINGSTON, MOX, , MJF, OMEGA, LANCE FOR THE BELT

I hope if pac does come back, he helps eddie beat mox’s ass leaving everyone shocked. Then next dynamite pac comes back acting all buddy buddy with kingston just to beat him up. Maybe go into a promo talking about how eddie broke up the triangle and says he challenges him to a match at revolution saying this time he’ll take his family and the belt, leaving kingston alone and maybe comes with a face turn after he loses.

2 guys that come up doing deathmatches and wrestling on the indies for years before 1 gets given the shot of a life time and the other stays on the indies. Jon then leaves after years of success to go somewhere he can be himself again and now after all these years they are crossing paths again only this time it's on PPV in the Main Event for the AEW World Title. The story has legit written itself and the fact they are so good on the mic just makes it even better.
Unreal promos here. Chills when Kingston mentioned not having a daughter or wife because of the dream of being on top. Can't wait for Full Gear!!
The sad state of Moxley after the promo really is the cherry on top of a great, great segment.
I love that Eddie was a tag team guy in NWA now he's headlining the best wrestling company in the world for the championship. With that said, let's go Mox!
It seems to be a recurring pattern where smaller names in NWA are proving to be bigger names in AEW: Kingston ain't the only one; Ricky Starks has proven to be a hell of a future star in his own right.

This is by far the most emotionally invested I've been in a feud in as long as I can remember. Excellent piece of work here. Definitely the best in-ring face off in a lot of years.

this is one of the greatest promos ever. the emotions, the things they say, the delivery, everything is just on point. it's the kind of promo that makes you forget for second that this is scripted. it's the type of promo that makes you think that this is real. i hope people in 20 years will talk about this the same way we talk about the likes of austin 3:16, etc

Honestly the quietness made this even more intense. I think this is one of the few promo "battles" that works really well with no crowd.
Promo of the Year hands down and we had some really tremendous ones this year. This promo not only sold the match and stipulation even further but it also really put Jon Moxley even more over as the champion and it really solidified the AEW Championship title as the most important title in wrestling. Eddie Kingston understands more than anyone else how important it is to get people truly invested in what you are doing. I think Jon Moxley is the Best in the World right now hands down but you never reach that level on your own guys like Kingston make guys like Moxley feel like they are the best. Heroes are only as good and interesting as the villain.
This is genuinely emotional. Absolutely fantastic and possibly the best promo I've ever seen.
When he said the reason why his mother doesn't have a grandchild was because of the title, I literally popped. I've never felt such realism in years

I love that Eddie literally finessed his way into the main event of a major ppv show after a few months of being there it was supposed to be mox vs archer originally but archer getting Covid wasn’t enough time to properly build the I quit match plus Eddie was 2nd rightful challenger after archer lost the 1st match with mox he never truly got eliminated in the battle royal so they had something natural to build up
This is 7:34 of magic right here. This as wrestling fans want in storylines. We want the build, we want emotion! We want realness. Every young wrestler should watch this promo and take notes. This is just amazing stuff to watch and this match was inside it would blow the roof off it!
Even though I'm rewatching this in 2022 and seeing how this story turned out with them still being brothers in arms is crazy. Cause they're so damn intense and real with each other. It's heart breaking too because of Eddie's piece on the Players Tribute and Mox's book, both are amazing btw, adds this extra emotional layer that makes this entire confrontation FANTASTIC!

Okay, can we talk about that camera work? That over the shoulder shot, showing Jon delivering his promo while still allowing us Eddie's reactions? Ace. The promo was great, but the whole delivery was so much better. The other guys don't have any of that.

Once Jon Moxley returns, he needs to bring back the entrance theme he used in this video and for the longest while when AEW started. That song actually does its job in getting you hyped up for him, which is something that his current entrance at the time of me typing this doesn't, and in all honestly makes him out to be a pussy.

AEW has really hit their stride these last couple of months. Wow. Look how good pro wrestling can be when you don't have to appease to an out of touch old man and his gigantic writing staff. I haven't enjoyed wrestling this much since I was a kid watching during the attitude era. Different feeling but I'm enjoying it just as much.
I love how the show on Friday showed a picture of them backstage after Mox won the title
