Hi Ben, if I were to write the UK version of SBR and AAA can I still practice abroad and sign off audit papers? Basically, do I still get the same privileges as the International version abroad?
Dear Wilson, If I have written SBR ( INT), can I write AAA(UK) because I just decided to relocate to the UK and I will also love to practice in d UK. If No, what can I do? Thank you
You need to pass AAA UK (and SBR UK) if want a UK auditing practicing certificate (to allow you to be a registered auditor) If your practice doesn’t offer audit, then no need to take AAA
Hi, if I work in big 4 company as an auditor and want to continue and go up to the partner level, do I have to opt for the UK version of the SBR and AAA paper?
Hi Ben, if i have completed SBR(international), ATX(UK) and obtained ACCA certification. and i want to practice in UK to deal with SME and setup a firm. what remedy do i have?
Hi Ben, I’m panicking a bit because I booked the UK version of the SBR exam without realising how different it can be from the Int. one… In terms of the exam, I know there will be one extra separate question regarding the UK accounting standards, but will I be penalised for doing the rest of the exam’s calculation questions using the international based standards? Many thanks.
There is very rarely a UK specific question - this has only happened once in the last 3 years (the UK question was in June 23, you can see it in the MJ23 exam paper on the practice platform) Usually, the UK questions are identical to INT - they just change the currency from $ to £. The answers required are slightly different - reflecting the minor differences in financial reporting standards, ethics, and audit reporting requirements - but these differences are tiny. Not worth worrying about overly.

Yes, absolutely! Most employers will not pay attention to this - they are just interested in you having the acca qualification

Hi Ben, Do I need to take exams of both UK variants of SBR & AAA, if i want to provide services as a freelancer ?
If your freelancing requires a practicing and auditing certificate, then yes. But otherwise no.
