    Maybe one of these days, u could make a video of showing the whole process while doing the change. I'm sure many of us would appreciate it!

    Thanks Jakub John. Great instruction. It works perfect. Bloody shame that IKEA hasn’t this instruction. 😊

      Well I thought about making the video after i had my blind already done and just didn't wanted to take it apart again.

  • @dtminifun
    @dtminifun 11 месяцев назад +1

    took me a day to figure it out. You turn the spring CLOCKWISE actually whilst the blind is hanging, otherwise you'd have a hard time pushing the control in.

      Do you mean that I should wind it clockwise, instead of counter clockwise like he said?

    I fixed the annoying sound with spay silicone based lubricant. just spray the little white balls that are visible when the handle is fully opened.

    It would be great if you would reconsider and make a video showing how to do it! It would really help people like me who are having a hard time following your verbal instructions. Thank you. Merry Christmas! 🎄

      Maybe i will do it after new year because I'm away now. The thing is i don't wanna take the same blind apart multiple times as something can brake. But I have second blind in other room, I might just go through the process to make another video.

      @@johnny6969 what about just having the shade roll over instead of under and to just flip it? Would that work?

    • @johnny6969
      @johnny6969  Год назад +1

      Maybe it would work 🤔 but it would be further from the window there will be a lot of light coming through the gap and also the shade nmaterial looks different on the other side. If this is what you meant.

    1:32 for those not sure what metal something they should use. i used the side of a hammer to push the pin down, then the back of the hammer to pull the pin out like removing a nail.

    wow. gr8 detailed video .. i never understood why its so difficult to switch rod right to left never had idea of spring load.
    i had it wrong way last 2 years on left side as when I pull rod blind goes up..basically reversed.
    Update - Most difficult part of above was to remove big Washer with groves. I literrally had to bend it with pliers to pull it out.
    While putting it back had to use screwdriver to make washer groves stick upwards before instering on pin & use pliers to pushit down when its on the Pin.

    I just unrolled the blind and pulled the fabric off the double sided tape and flipped the pole around and rolled it back up. It restuck to the tape with no problems. No tools needed...

    Thanks for the vid. Nice and simple to do. Took it all apart with just a fork. Only thing i cant figure out is what is the point in loading the spring? When tou pull the blind down it loads itself. It comes unloaded when new. Unless you feel it needs a quicker return to it but that doesnt have anything to do with changing the handle to the left side. Maybe im missing something. Either way, thanks for the clip, saved me some time messing about to see if its possible or not.

      When i didn't load the spring the other way my blind was closing itself on its own weight.

    • @johnny6969
      @johnny6969  Год назад

      Thats no problem. Just rewind it in the correct way as I showed on the video. Just need to be careful and gentle with it as when you press the tab when not needed it will unwind again.

    • @johnny6969

      Use 2 flathead screwdrivers and prey on both sides at the same time. Little by little and it will come of.
