This collaboration of Hawktail+Väsen is one of the most exciting folk instrumental groupings I've seen in decades! Saw them in Berkeley at the Freight & Salvage this month and am hoping someone on the soundboard recorded the show because it was an epic show.

OMG!! Two of the most mind-blowing ensembles in the string band omniverse - and performing one of Jordan’s compositions no less! Was this their only performance together or are there others? Thank you for posting this- evokes treasured memories of seeing Väsen in a house concert settling ( an absolutely stupendous experience) and seeing all of the Hawktail members with previous ensembles in that same room and Grey Fox , Fresh Grass &c - i am truly blessed to become acquainted with them ( Paul K even let me try out his bass after one show - Cloud 9 baby!) Dreaming about the next opportunity see them as Hawktail. They can only improve with time- hope my brain can handle what the ears are gonna convey. 🤯

Hawktail sans Dominick plus Vasen sans Roger -- and it works! Brittany has always been exceptional, and she somehow keeps improving -- can't wait to hear more of her with Punch Brothers!
