They counted going over the rail as more difficult which it is but who's to say Art's tricks weren't just as hard without going over the rail. Tough to judge but at least 1st place was correct
Gary Rogers is one of the most annoying commentators I’ve ever heard in my life. The way he was screeching and yelling at the skaters he needs to let them concentrate no one trying to compete wants to here that. That was extremely hard to listen. Great competition and tricks by all the skaters. That’s a very tough spot and they also had to go from sub to shade which is super difficult. Really liked Art Cordova he should have won.
I believe Jon Allie FS Flipped over that rail all the way back in 2004 Zero New Blood video, love these real street contest! Wish they did these wayy more
Yea felt like he should’ve gotten silver or bronze for that. Pretty sure that’s an NBD here. Glad the judges chose the correct winner at least! Awesome to see Alec succeeding after a long injury process (think he broke his femur).
i felt it. jumped off the couch like YES!!! but then the podium said no :( idk after 16 tries, i kinda feel like he deserved it over alec who just sat down the whole time.
The worst. You could see the pain on the skaters faces as they were trying to focus and he kept approaching them, getting in their space and hounding them. He either has zero ability to read a person or just flat out doesn't care and thinks it's the Gary Rogers show.
@@davecoppenrath I think on round rails it's called nosegrind since round rails doesn't have edges to lock in, but call it whatever you like, at the end I don't care if you call it nosegrind, overcrook or sillygrind, what is important it's the movement itself and not the name

@@JOHAMSK8 yes he did and it was basically the last trick in his entire Zero Skateboards part, if you don’t count the fs flip to sw hill bomb at the end. Johnathon’s sw big heel was in a homie video, in the middle of his part, with only one angle. The nollie bs flip Art did was better than his sw big heel anyway.
This is a great format and a great spot for it. Nicely done X Games. Also Kairi's trick was dope and his "I don't speak English" was very endearing lol
No hating, but the man is unprofessional and it makes the event seem low quality. “Correct a wise man and he will love you,” says the wise man. So should Gary or anyone see that ad “hating”?
