- In this video I'm tackling some of the odd jobs, the hood/bonnet insolation pad is fragile and worn! not to mention some holes for bonnet vents cut into it, so as they are super expensive I'm going to repair this one.
Next job is the dash light illumination, Can't see a dam thing at night the clocks are so dim, So I've ordered a full set of LED's including bulbs for the pie chart that tells you when your indicator is on etc.
Then I'm moving onto the fuel pump, the one i have in place is doing a great job, but its noisy, and i want something that looks and works like the factory pump, that means and alternative pump that is an upgrade from the old points style pump, this one looks and operates exactly as the points type original.

Lookin good mate.👍👍👍
Very encouraged with your results on the hood lining. I was closely involved with the Stag Owners Club project to facilitate re-manufacture way back in 2002. Its good that its still available, but I have to agree that the price nowadays is not really sustainable, especially given the cost of packaging and shipping for such a fragile item.
Beautiful car. Do they last better in the Australian climate than they do back here in GB?
Same problems with rust unfortunately, But not as bad as the uk! I thought spare parts would be a problem as hard to find here in Australia. James paddock gets the parts I need to me usually in 4 days...not bad ! Cheers
Is the spare bulb for the glove box lid ? Mk1 Stag's had a round map reading light, set into the bottom corner of the veneer.
I was thinking it might be for the gear selector, as my stag is auto,or the glove box as you say. Cheers 🍻
