I started singing when I was 18. (There's actually a "10 Years of Progress" video on my channel if you want to hear how I progressed in more detail.) I took vocal lessons twice, for about 4 months or so each time I think.. maybe a little longer. Those were very, very helpful. As for practicing, it takes a little while to warm up so I tend to practice for at least 45 minutes or so when I do. Sometimes quite a bit longer. There are a lot of good RUclips videos out there that have also been helpful. I especially like Felicia Ricci. What I tend to do when I practice singing is to find a song that is challenging for me.. and for me lately that's been songs that stretched my range, and especially had high belty parts. Then download a karaoke track from RUclips, bring it up in my audio software, and record myself singing it over and over again, listening back to the takes each time, sometimes listening again to the original to compare. We can't completely imitate our favorite singers if only because everyone's voice is different, but it can help us to move in that direction. When I hear something on the recording that I like, I remember what I did and try to replicate it. It's a long process of trial and error really, for me anyway. I hope that helps!
I don't know if it's just me, but Riley Hawke's voice really reminds me of Rachel's. Especially during some lines they sound almost exactly the same. I think it actually adds a lot. The song is always already very emotionally loaded, especially with the scene it comes from. This is an amazing rework of the original, it adds so much. The addition of a few instruments make it just so much better. Koethe is a master of his art, and this is a masterpiece.
This song improves on literally every aspect of the original song. The vocals, the instruments used, the way it's sung. I can listen to this for hours and I'll tear up every single time. There are few covers that are as incredible as this. The emotion sunk into this song is extraordinary and the whole thing fits perfectly with the moment the original is used in. This. Is. Perfection.

Life is Strange will always hold a special place in my heart. When the first one came out, i'd been in a weird place. I'd had a gifted kid burnout, my favourite band broke up, and my favourite TV show had been cancelled. And then came Life is Strange. I latched onto the game. Max and Chloe are a lot like me and my best friend. If you told someone that we're best friends, they'd probably not believe you. We aren't quite as different as Max and Chloe, but Max was very relatable to me, and i really enjoyed Chloe as a sidekick. Sure, making her the basis for what tiny bit of a rebellious phase i had was probably not the healthiest thing i'd done, but even then, she reminds me so much of my best friend. He really is the Chloe to my Max.
Here i am on another trip down the beautiful Chanel :) god what a blessing it is to have discovered you, you have been with me through every stage of my life from a suicidal teen to a barely surviving to hating myself to learning to let go through dying and being brought back to life to forgiving myself and now i find love...
