Local ace Bovy takes her first WEC pole at home track after peaking on a best lap of 2m20.775s to take her first pole since Bahrain 2023.

I have supported the Dames since i saw them at Le Mans in 2017.They are very talented, and with young Dorian Pin gradually being groomed to take over from Rehal Frey the future for the team looks good. Have a great race ladies, to make up for Imola.

The change up to 4th at Paul Frere looked like a short shift. I thought it was a mistake (that obviously didn't cost her pole) at first.
I didn't like the change of camera angles in the middle of the lap but I know a comment requested a driver angle in the ferrari hypercar pole video. Perhaps a full screen of the first view with a corner box view of the driver would be a good compromise.

In a couple years we may never have this sound again. The r8 lms is no longer produced and same will happen to the huracan when its v8 powered successor will arrive. I can't imagine a gt3 race without this sound. This 5.2 v10 is a true oasis of motorsports.

Bovy would still be driving in the Quali session with or without Pin because the Bronze drivers have to qualify in LM GTE.
@@edthri What I really meant was that. The team will start from pole on a track they've won before so they have a real chance of winning. Just happen to be the one race Pin isn't with the team.

Its crazy how much slower the GT3 cars are in WEC, in SRO GT3's can run atleast 4/5s faster than this.
Differences in BOP, slightly different aero regs, different tyres etc will inevitably lead to differences between not only SRO GT3s and WEC's LM GT3's as well as other series running GT3 cars.
@@alaric3415adding on to that, LMGT3 is a pro/am class, whereas in SRO series, there are different classes, one of them including a pro class
Also it seems that in WEC the qualifying is done by the bronze driver (=gentleman driver)
