Remember, Hughie *didn't* see Cindy, he was in the van, only ones who seen Cindy was MM, Frenchie, and Kimiko. Also if you pay attention to that court room scene, where ever she looked, their heads blew up. She purposely blew up that speedster's head so A train could get back into the 7 since there isn't another speedster, and she had to keep her appearance up so she had to pretend to be scared.
Lol, what kind of semantics game is this? They both make explode, or implode, or whatever. Difference is the way or method of doing it. Cindy probably have telekinesis to move and explode people, and Victoria might be using focused microwaves that make people explode.
My favorite part about this episode is the Teddy Stillwell reveal. Knowing that he can teleport means that Homelander most likely didn't save him from the explosion.
Homelander saved Butcher only. Remember after getting sense, Butcher saw Homelander with Becca and Ryan. Now Homelander's speed is not like that of Flash who is capable of saving 2 people at same time without getting caught in explosion.
You guys watch enough tv to know that there’s artistic choices made to allow an audience to be able to make connections. Nadia’s eyes fogging over simply let us know that she was the one responsible that one time. Just like when Ryan’s eyes lit up when he met homelander but he had no idea he even had powers.
thought the same, and even they could anywere mention after about fogging like it could be concentration sign over distance, in 2.08 she poped head over garden or something like that, but in court room she was close and it could be easer for her.
German here: "Krauts" just means Germans. It's a mean nickname given by english-speaking contries (US, GB). It comes from the German word 'Sauerkraut' which is a type of food (eaten for example with sausages mostly in Southern Germany, Bavaria and such). Never call Germans "Krauts" if you don't wanna insult them :D
Cindy was a red herring and Hughie put 2 + 2 together and realized this person that can explode people's body parts was in the room when everyone else's heads were exploding.
Antony Starr doesnt get the praise he deserves for this role. He is so enjoyable to watch, he steals every scene he is in. Homelander is a narcissist, megalomaniac crybaby but he has so many layers on his character. Also, I love him bullying the Deep and A-Train, they both deserve it.
The easy way to remember the name of Soldier Boy’s old hero group is that it’s making fun of the Avengers, so it’s called Payback. Vs the Seven, which is basically the Justice League (the name there is less clear, but the connection with the powers of the various heroes makes it pretty clear). Crimson Countess (who was in Payback) is a play on Scarlet Witch (Wanda) from the Avengers. Love the reactions as always!
I love that they're still paranoid about where Cindy is and what Cindy is doing. I hope we get to the final episode of the season and we're still making theories about Cindy
34:25 Well, Butcher was already shot on the cheek and the leg by Gunpowder. In the scene where he kills him, the scar on the cheek is gone and he is not limbing. So, he understood that the V heals him and makes him bulletproof. Clever way of showing us that he took it even before Gunpowder shot him down by his car.
It’s annoying they can’t accept two people having the same powers, there’s literally multiple speedsters why is it so hard to believe multiple people could have telekinetic powers
9:16 From laughing to a straight face, that's some Homelander level stuff from Dani lol I don't know why that caught me off guard, I thought I zoned out and missed something 😂
It's funny how they get so obsessed with some assumption they made several episodes ago and despite everything pointing elsewhere they refuse to let it go. And no, Hughie never saw Cindy or what she's capable of, neither did Butcher. In any case their powers are clearly different, Cindy displays telekinesis as she blows doors away and crumples metal and it's with that power that she again pressures and crumples the orderly's bodies into imploding. Neuman's power, from what is shown, seems to only affect organic matter, flesh and bone, and doesn't look to work like telekinesis but rather as if whatever body part she looks at explodes. On the matter of powers, again, Starlight's power, Stormfront's power and Crimson Countess' powers are all incredibly different, just because all of them produce some light effect it does not make them in any way similar. There's some superhero "illiteracy" here that is preventing them from picking up these nuances and it is noticeable in other interpretations and commentary they've made but it's understandable and it's also one of the things that makes it engaging, seeing how they learn the tropes and nuances of these kinds of stories.
"Kraut" is slang for German people. It's a reference to sauerkraut, which is in a lot of German foods and most closely associated with them. I wouldn't put it in the same class as other racial slurs, but it's usually used in a derogatory way. "Rooski (roux-ski)" is another old slang for Russians that was fairly common too. That's just an english-fied spelling for the Russian word for Russian though. People who say one, usually say the other as well. Remnants of the world wars and the Cold War.
14:30 Yeah, but the difference is that Neuman was actually *at* the court when the heads exploded AND Hughie was not inside, so he never saw Cindy: so it makes sense which way he jumped...
Lol idk why y’all are still in deniable about Victoria. Cindy was just a red herring, nothing more. Victoria is the head popper. It’s not that complicated

Cindy was meant to be a red herring and neumen was there when everyone in at that court hearing got there head popped so I think he just connected those dots and he never met Cindy
Not sure if it's been said by someone else, or if you looked it up since, but the word Kraut came from the Brits during WW1 and WW2. It's used as a demeaning word for Germans, one belief is because the Germans loved Sauerkraut.
11:44 "Kraut" is a derogatory name / ethnic slur for Germans. It comes from the German dish Sauerkraut, which is a cut & fermented type of cabbage, giving it a sour (sauer) taste. 31:10 The Tiki torches. That's a 2017 Charlottesville "Unite the right" Nazi rally reference. And yes, Neuman absolutely did the courtroom. You can literally see her look towards the people she pops in multiple cuts. I highly recommend going back and watch it again because it's actually very well done if you know the context clue for it. They also literally cut to Neuman every time she pops someone. After Raynor it cuts right to her on the TV too. The show gives you several hints but they're hard to decipher unless you actually know. Not sure why you're surprised about Butcher killing & hating supes now though. That's his whole shtick.
Kraut is a term used a lot in WW2 (possibly WW1 as well though I am less familiar) to describe Germans not necessarily Nazis as not all Germans were Nazis. That said I imagine Kraut is fairly derogatory? its a shortening of sauerkraut which is a VERY German dish I believe its one they are best know for. I am not at all qualified to speak on its origins or even its level of inappropriateness but I do have the general knowledge to know its not a term of endearment by any means.
