- This HoneyTone mini amp from Danelectro sounds good!
I recorded the Telecaster first,
then I dialed a crunch tone and got the Stratocaster solo.
GarageBand effects section did the trick, adding reverb, echo and EQ.

Just bought this thing today as an impulse buy, knowing nothing about it. I can 100% say this demo is spot on. This thing screams. It’s sorta tough to clean up but not too bad.
If you’re a fan of Layla and other assorted love songs(who isn’t?) this amp is that album in a box.
Also... “woke up to the sound of pouring rain” 😂
Hey thank you man, glad you like it! Speaking of Layla, it's not Clapton but I recorded Led Zep's You Shook Me with this amp and was impressed. If you ever feel like listening to it, I also used the Danelectro guitar. It was a surprise for me too :D

Could you tell me how you did the video? Software & technique? I think it would be hysterical to do a video of me arguing with myself - it would like TWINS talking to each other in the same room. Your finished video looks great, very professional. Let me know - THANKS...
A. WEBB oh, I have no great gear to record video. I used my MacbookPro webcam, recording two different Quicktime movies. The first one is me playing my Telecaster, headphone on and metronome. The second is me playing the Strat over the Tele track. I used a mic to catch Dano amp, and by usb I plugged in the laptop, and Garageband. I used FinalCut to edit the video, the "clones" effect is very easy to get, I just watched a tutorial on RUclips. Basically you cut off half of the screen (left or right), for each video track. Hope this can help you, ciao!

ciclosonico You should check out this site, its an in-browser multitrack studio, with online features like collaborating with other musicians in real time. i have been messing with it for the last couple days and having a blast, would NEVER have expected the sound quality or speed from a no-install studio. Being able to colab with musicians online is an excellent feature, it's hard to describe so you should just see for yourself. www.soundtrap.com/redheadedstepchild

Thank you so much for this kind comment, mate! As I wrote in the Info, basically I used just EQ and Reverb fx from GarageBand. Two tracks, playing with my headphone, and shooting each take. Then I edited the video. The sound comes from gtr, amp & AKG. Pretty straight. Ciao!

Most welcome. At 55 I just decided to purchase a guitar and teach myself...Into it for 4 weeks now and loving it! Wish I had started 40 years ago...but it's never too late to learn something. I have a nice Fender amp but was looking for something to play room from room and this little noise maker fits the bill. Ordered!

hey mate, first of all THANK YOU for this very kind comment! Then: I used my ZoomH4 just as audio interface, GarageBand is the last Lion version, but whatever 8, 9 11 will work fine for this kind of recording. I was playing in front of the webcam, shooting an iMovie video while catching the audio by GarageBand. At last, I had to sync everything... that's the very boring part of the job. Grazie, ciao!

Hey this is a great demo video, some people just use their webcam mic and it makes it sound awful.
I'm planning to get one of these amps; to change the settings on the amp did you use the ones given in the booklet or just playing around with it ?
That's a sweet overdrive tone, I can't get mine to sound anything other than boxy
It sounds canned compared to any 'real' amp, but listened to on its own it can sound great. I set it up differently for each of the two tracks, the guitars sound different and the way I play makes a difference. It's been many years since this video, I may have even used an Eq on the master to take out some of the midrange. I recently recorded a new one where I play You Shook Me by Led Zeppelin, just a distorted sound as it comes out of the amp at high volume. It still amazes me sometimes, it's a fun toy

Hey Mark, thank you! I recorded the Tele part first, then the lead with the Strat. It's just me, in this splitted video I edited for fun and because I didn't like to show I was wearing headphones 😂 The amp is of course the same, dialed for different tones

I used the guitar's pot to get these volume swells, no pedals at all.
is it a known song you are playing or improv? sounds really nice though! im getting this thing for my friends bday, his amp broke down (some OEM 10watt amp i believe) it has never been good anyway
