awesome vid, wish i had seen this before getting my 4.1 high side frewza. I agree with you about the hull, it rides really well in the chop, having been around boats most of my life, as a skipper or crew, the frewza is extremely good value for your dollar. My 4.1 is mostly beach launched down in the Catlins and sees some pretty shit sea conditions, she handles it fine. keep up with the cool videos.
Hey awesome video enjoyed it and made it easy to purchase.. got me frewza 495,so happy with it dunno what I was thinking with all my other boats, this ticks all the boxes, fishing, diving, and family fun
Awesome man glad it helped you with your decision! My new frewza just arrived the other week. Will do a full review on that also when I have had time to put it to use
@@SteadliestCatchOr wrecking it if it's a fuel injected motor. More important especially if you use a fixed tank. Less for totes, but always a good idea.
Great video. The best F14 review. Thank you. I am looking at get a f14 I do a lot spearfishing with my mates. Will U recommend to add something to hold spear guns and fins? Thx.
Thats a big call! But I’m happy with that haha. I do a lot of spearfishing too (when the viz is good enough down here) i never felt the need to have any dedicated gun racks. The guns fit in the gunnels very nicely and makes it easy to grab out. I have long Ruku fins and they stack up nicely in the transom shelf, then mask, gloves, knife etc under the seats and weight-belts in the anchor well. They are really well set up boats and i don’t think you need to complicate things too much with fittings and attachments.
We were considering buying a brand new f14 after watching this video and next morning I saw " storm trooper" for sale on trade me. Boom, now it's in my driveway. We love it, so easy to use and easy to look after. Being newbie's we thought we could change the name but found out that's not wise. Storm trooper it is to stay. What's behind the name ?
Haha Nice ! Was that recently? storm trooper - first day I took it out I was caught in water spouts and 40knot gusts and it handled it like a trooper. Also, it kinda looks like a storm trooper helmet from the front 🤷♂️
Great video. Until now never knew this brand existed. Hope they come to Canada. I fish Great Lakes in 16ft Starcraft love the boat in a calm but miss action due to rough. I’d go for this one in a heart beat. How much are they?
I know they ship to the pacific islands, not sure about the rest of the world. These start around $9k, and get up to around $25k with outboard and trailer (NZD)
@@SteadliestCatch That’s one heck of a deal. I would swap my carpeted Starcraft in a heartbeat. Once I got caught in it in rough weather with my family onboard. My kids and wife are not that interested in boating since;) this boat could give them confidence.
@@mikey27437 yes, these are designed and built in southern NZ and tested in the waters of the foveaux strait where conditions are not the best, safe to say they handle to rough really well!
Great vid mate and cool seeing a whale! I have an F16 over in Blenheim, love it too, great boats!!! Cheers
Nice little boat man. Capable as. Good video bro. Cool whale shots too
Cheers man, i know the yarns can be a bit boring for the average viewer but to the right people this review could be what just they need!
@@SteadliestCatch hey man. Watch my videos and I yarn off that same hahah.

Awesome 👍 iv just purchased one just doing the waiting game now thanks so much for the review
Im glad it was useful! Great boats, you will love it
It is just what I wanted thanks mate boat is going perfect
Great vid, 99% sure im sold on f14 or f15 now after looking at the stabi 1550
my mate had one of those, he had a 90Hp yam 2 stroke on the back, it was effortless boating!
That would fly with a 90!
14:06 Newbie here, what piece of equipment was the "this"?
Sorry I didn’t mention it in the video, it is a fuel water separator. Stops water from the fuel system getting into your outboard and stalling it

Nice boat
Have you considered skateboard adhesive grip for those angled floor sections. You can get rolls in various thickness’.
Guessing you sold it by now.
Move your tote tanks up the front will help keep the front down when they are full and less weight to try counter Ballance

hey man sounds like a sick we boat, they say bananas on boats are bad luck
Louis Harveynorth so they say, but I’m living on the edge !
Awesome bro
Thanks for the awesome video! I am considering buying my first NZ boat and am looking hard at the Frewza. Did you sell yours yet?
Yep, sold that not long after the video released. I now have the f16 fisher with a bunch of mods, in the process of setting it up at the moment
Review of the F16 coming soon ? Am looking at buying my first boat and am interested in either a 16 or 18. Love your work mate !
