- Today I am out in the garden tending my Three Sisters Garden Bed. A three sisters garden is garden planted with corn, beans and squash. All three sisters work together and produce more than when planted alone in a monoculture.
This style of planting was new to me this year and there is a bit of a learning curve. It was a lot of fun to try a new growing style and I’m proud of what I have been able to grow in this small plot. I’ll also share the mistakes that I made and what I would do differently next year to have a stronger yield.

OMG! You read my mind! I want to do this next year! I will bookmark this video as a reminder to come back to it next spring!
Awesome! So glad it was helpful!
I did the three sisters also. It didn’t do well though. I planted way too little plants. My squash didn’t fruit. I only got a few ears of corn. The beans were pretty good. If I do it next spring I will nourish it more. I think the bed needs building. I appreciate your analysis.
Thanks! I agree. Soil building is the first step and I think I’ll pay more attention to that next year
Thank you for posting this! I’m planting a three sisters garden next year so this was very useful ❤
