Hey, thanks for watching my best stock Android blowers round up! Quick update: Motorola's new RAZRs have just launched, unboxing of the RAZR 50 Ultra is live now, full review coming next week :)
sadly yeah I know the time when 300€ was the sweetspot. Though used phones are now easier and cheaper to buy than ever. A used S22 for 300€ is pretty good while still having a few years of software update for example and that will be the way of the future
I was a Nexus fan until Google decided they wanted to charge iPhone prices instead with the new Pixel range. Switched to Nokia (HMD) and have been happy there. Sad that they're abandoning the Nokia name now though 😞
it's just the Nokia branding that they won't renew. Like it or not, the reception isn't as expected unlike feature phones that they constantly rehashing the outer shell design. They still license OZO from Nokia and if I recall Skyline will be using 3 mic setup along with stereo speakers. OZO on X20 is pretty nice despite the mono speaker limitation, even better if you use LDAC codec on BT headphones
Just grabbed the moto g84 for two thirds the retail price, meaning it ended up being better than the same price competitors while ALSO punching above its weight against the more expensive mid-range stuff. Your review of it helped out a lot, thank you mate!
The Moto G85 just launched! Don't worry you're not missing out on much. All that's now is the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3, which is the same as the Snapdragon 695 in the G84, Gorilla Glass 5 protection up front, a curved screen, an extra OS update (Android 15 vs 14) and a 32MP selfie camera. Also I don't think the G85 has an IP rating, while the G84 is IP54.
Y'all remember Nokia phones back in 2017-2020 🥲 I had a great experience with the stock android with a snapdragon back in 2019 with my Nokia 8 sirocco ( more like a pro version of the original phone)
I do! I had a Motorola back then. It was a very very solid phone all around. I was very happy using it. Made me feel that the phone is severely underrated.
I bought Nokia g42 with very stock android and less bloatwares. Unfortunately new HMD phone comes preloaded with facebook apps as a system apps and i dont like it.
One phone you missed is the Xperia 5 V. With the incredible battery life, unique 21:9 screen and front-firing strereo speakers, great performance, clean software and great camera potential, it's not to be sniffed at. The only gripes I have are the software support (or lack thereof), the unintuitive camera UI, subpar thermals, slow charging and no face unlock. Personally, I would skip the Xperia 10 series although the Xperia 10 VI isn't all that terrible, just there is far better value to be had.
Chris. I have a personal question for you. I have a One plus 8 pro. Should I keep it, or upd🎉/ upgrade it? I'm 79. Don't play games except for Painting by numbers and social media sites, plus phone calls and photos.
Just wondering if you have heard anything about pixel 7 pro or any other pixel phones suffering with flickering green screen, My phone is having this problem and can't find if it is a software issue or a hardware issue, the phone is not out off it's full contract, which is at the end of November as I understand it has a 2 year Google warranty but I have no idea how to get in touch and sort out a fix, can you advise on a future video before the warranty runs out. Thanks..
Mr Spurt, in all your time reviewing phones and supping ale, have you ever noticed if Pixel phones since going to tensor chipsets have worse signal than other brands? Its been commented on a lot that Pixels have crap antenna/modems compared to brands like oneplus. Im using a Pixel 7 pro and find that its fine for me personally but dont have another phone to stick my sim in and compare. One last question, whats your favourite beer 🍺?
So little choices in many places. Especially, no Google pixel availability in many countries. Why is it so hard to get a stock Android phone with long-term update in 2024.
I have a Redmi 8 phone, got the LineageOS installed (android 14). Cost me nothing as it was a phone that my mom threw away after getting a new motorola. It's the stockest stock barebone android you could imagine, and the fun part is - everyone could do it. Try it yourself.
Given that it's out of warranty anyway and I'd already hacked it in the past I decided to try LineageOS 21 on my Xperia XZ1 Compact and quite frankly it left me feeling frustrated with how Sony chose note to support it for longer than they did as it runs Android 14 just fine. Granted it's a Pixel 5 port but there's barely anything that gives that away.
I'm torn between Nothing 2a CE and HMD Skyline now. 3 mics + stereo speakers with OZO is really interesting. OZO also works as adaptive equalizer on BT headphones and LDAC is phenomenal with it, at least what I tried on X20 with Edifier W820NB+. Still wish HMD allows bootloader unlocking. this is the reason why people stopped beta testing Android beta on X20 - no way to rollback when things happen and very few customer support knows remote flashing
Man seeing all these Motorola phones here really takes me back to better days when I got my mom a Google Nexus 6 with an absolutely enormous (at the time) 6 inch screen! 😂 That was stolen, so I then got her a Moto X Pure Edition as a replacement, which was also a fantastic phone. Good times.
I need a second phone, but it has to be super cheap. Help, please! There are practically no reviews for phones around 100€. It's easier to choose good value mid range phone, than it is to choose a good value cheap phone? How do you compare antenna quality?
Im from the philippines and I've been watching your videos just this year cause tbh i prefer english as a language for these kinds of informations cause i understand your them more than my own language
My wife and I primarily conduct our banking and access many websites using our phones. Because of this, we are considering switching to Pixel phones for their regular security updates. I wonder which phones are the most secure.
So many lovely phones, I just wish my bank account would agree with me for once and stop running in the anti me direction. Those Pixels 7 years? Am sold so even if I buy it 2 years from now it will still be getting more updates than phones that will be out 3 years from now. That peace of mind is really enticing.
Stock android experience... is that really a thing? Unless you got a pixel and got other google gadgets, what are the advantages? stock android is pretty boring tbh
Anyone got Honor M6P? Its 900$ in my country including gifts like padx8 and earbuds 3, for 900$. Is it worth it to buy it ? Is it as good as reviewers saying?
Magic user here. The phone is absolutely worth the price tag, you should however expect the package to be minimal unless you're lucky. The cameras are spectacular, and the videos are fine for what they are. My favorite part has to be the screen brightness and the infrared blaster paired with that 80W charge rate and outstanding battery life.
motorola was the first phone I used as was a channel5 retuner at the time, pull up antenna, open keypad section and to chat to Channel 5's hahaha engineers but I did it better,yadayadayada...1996ish. Hope Motorola paid you well on this here video uncle. Pixel 8a looks the best of the bunch though if it doesn't burn ,like the 6a did when i tried it b4 and sent it back.
@@jamesgeorge8915 ok but we didn't really get help from the engineers we called,i ended up doing most jobs myself trial and error and common sense prevailed
Not gonna lie these phones are better then the one that i have now also im watching this video on the Motorola G Pure so I've had the phone that im watching this video on since early to mid 2023 but mabye I'll get a new phone for my birthday also my birthday is on august 5th 2024
Uncle Spurt has inspired in me the following "SplurtSploding "script. I'd draw it in anime but I'm shite at drawing like. [Uncle Spurt clutches a fruit shaped phone] .. "Ah Grandma's balls, not another bloody fruitfone the same as the previous ones... Where's my craft indie Ale? I'm gonna need it to stop puking on this fone"... [Reaches off camera]. "Ah there it is. Wonder why it's called SplodingLiver?" [Proceeds to guzzle doon the pint] - "Burrrp ah errm I feel unusual, ah bollocks..." [Uncle Spurt, and his liver then explodes] ". The End
Yes you have missed Nokia G42 which should be included and it's even got better after reciving Android 14 update and once you get the 8g of ram version with 256 of memory and the latest price reduction...I doubt that anything would be close to it in terms of value for money!
Hey, thanks for watching my best stock Android blowers round up! Quick update: Motorola's new RAZRs have just launched, unboxing of the RAZR 50 Ultra is live now, full review coming next week :)
I like this one
You actually have HMD Skyline in testing right? July 10th is close
*Motorola Edge 30 Ultra*
I've got a Green line issue after the June security update. (India)
Just updated it yesterday.
hey buddy where do I get those wallpapers?

It’s really depressing that a 6.1” screen is considered small and £500 is considered budget.
Not really. The dimensions are almost the same as an old 5.5inch phone
Better than 5 inch phones with an hour of battery life that used to cost 800+
You're earning less bro
sadly yeah I know the time when 300€ was the sweetspot. Though used phones are now easier and cheaper to buy than ever. A used S22 for 300€ is pretty good while still having a few years of software update for example and that will be the way of the future

@pixelgaming7261 why the curved screen?? I thought the G series is supposed to have a flat display ...
That's a great phone and a bargain at that price, well done mate
Always love your anime wallpapers 😁
Y'all remember Nokia phones back in 2017-2020 🥲 I had a great experience with the stock android with a snapdragon back in 2019 with my Nokia 8 sirocco ( more like a pro version of the original phone)
Android One phones. I had one. It's actually more stock than Pixels. Pixels use Pixel skin.
Aye, as actual smart phones (and not gaming consoles lol) they were and still are excellent.
I do! I had a Motorola back then. It was a very very solid phone all around. I was very happy using it. Made me feel that the phone is severely underrated.
I still use that Nokia 4.2 , just had my previous battery replaced, android 11 still works well
They did some crackers! Hopefully gonna have some new Lumias this Summer, with Android rather than Windows Phone. Yum.
Thank you for reviewing all these blowers!
I bought Nokia g42 with very stock android and less bloatwares. Unfortunately new HMD phone comes preloaded with facebook apps as a system apps and i dont like it.
I can't just wait fir the hmd reviews.. Thanks!
I think it's great that you have more phones with stock android. I wish more phones would do that. All they gotta do is add their features.
7:45 "Most talked about Rear End since Beyonce"
Imagine a Collab between you and Creaky Blinder. The dialogue will be brilliant.
Aye, over a craft indie Welsh ale, that would be hilarious
Sadly the Software support is a dealbreaker on the Zenphone 10 for me. Otherwise I’d be interested.
I have Motorola ThinkPhone. Stock Android. Good performance. Long term software update policy.. Costs only 399 US dollars .
One phone you missed is the Xperia 5 V. any plan on doing the new oneplus nord 4 that came out this week? Others have done a review but I have trust issues about strangers
WISH I KNEW IF JULY 4 SALE OR AMAZON PRIME DAY IS BEST FOR PHONE DISCOUNTS?????😮
your vids are quite enjoyable
Chris. I have a personal question for you. I have a One plus 8 pro. Should I keep it, or upd🎉/ upgrade it? I'm 79. Don't play games except for Painting by numbers and social media sites, plus phone calls and photos.
These are nice, also hearing about the rumored StellarX phone with Dimensity 7200 pro chip and much more striking specs..
I love your reviews. Always head to your channel first.
where you get those wallpapers?
Which camera do you use in this video Sir? And Which lense?
Please mention which ones have headphones jacks.
I got a second hand Motorola Edge 30 Ultra recently, definitely worth it. it can be found for a mid range price now
My week is not complete without watching this ale loving bald😅
Great reviews for stock Android. Many thanks

No repeat handheld sales... ?
Isn't Xperia also more or less stock android?
Was literally about to write this down.
Guys what do you think about OnePlus 12r?
It's a great phone
Will there ever be a day Google allows you to get rid of the search bar at the bottom of the screen?
The liver and the wood jokes got me good. You're so freaking hilarious, dude! 🤣
What about the Sony phones??
Yeah, the Xperia 10 VI is pretty decent, too. For now it costs a bit too much tho
I have a Redmi 8 phone, got the LineageOS installed (android 14). Cost me nothing as it was a phone that my mom threw away after getting a new motorola. It's the stockest stock barebone android you could imagine, and the fun part is - everyone could do it. Try it yourself.

I need android of 3000 or 4000
Like your reviews.. but the background piano music is torture and rather distracting 🤯
Can anyone tell me so the Motorola phones have bad cameras? I was looking at the g84 and not sure as want to buy it outright and is in my budget

No 5g support for the pixel series phones in the Phils.

No wireless charging on the Pixel 8a? That makes it less useful and inconvenient to charge. Definitely not worth the cost savings.
