I do have a question! what lubricant does Body Solid recommend to be used on the weight stack rod guides? I tried some silicone spray and that worked good for about a week but it then seem to get sticky and cause the stack to not glide smoothly.
We usually recommend any type of silicon spray, that will typically do the trick. If you're still having issues, I'd recommend reaching out to our service team at service@bodysolid.com and seeing if there's something more we can do to help!
Assembly by myself was not too hard. I took my time and followed the diagrams. I particularly like the pictures and names of the exercises organized by muscle groups on the front of the ruclips.net/user/postUgkxKJHyBZ9I1py9vVi-XLpEBg0y-qmdhn3q . Considering the number of exercises it has a relatively small footprint. I needed a machine that was not too tall because I only have 79" headroom in my cabin and this was just over 78". It is easy to use, seems to be well made, and I am pleased with my purchase. I am doing upper body muscles on Monday and Thursday. Lower body exercises are being done on Tuesday and Friday. Not using it on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. I am a reasonably fit 66 year old man and this is a great workout.
I've had the EXM2500S since Nov 1, so for exactly 1 month as of today. I use it for about 20~25 min every morning, 7 days a week. I'm nearly 50 years old and haven't exactly been in a good shape before, but after 1 month of dedicated use I can assure everyone here that I've already lost 1 inch in my waistline, my arms are significantly thicker, and I'm starting to show much more defined pecs, with a hint of 6-pack. My goal is to have a killer bod by this summer and put all younger guys at the office to shame. If you have a doubt about getting this set, well... don't!
Awesome! Thanks for letting us know about your progress, please keep us in the loop and send over some pictures or videos whenever you have a chance. Thanks for choosing Body-Solid.
I have a question. When the pin is set to ‘Shoulder Press’, is the unit engineered to do body weight dips? The design for the hand grips are perfect but it is only pinned on the one side. Thank you.
Just got mine about a month ago and love it. Do you have a workout guide for this machine that is downloadable? The video is great to show the features, but I was hoping to print off a guide and create custom workouts.
Dear Body Solid, great video to convince me to buy one except for.. almost every review has the same negative..lack of detailed assembly instructions. Can you please take the time to make a detailed assembly video. If you want to give me one in trade for making such a video let me know. I hope you respond to this comment.
I was gifted a 20 year old body solid total gym the other day, and with no instructions other than the exploded parts view, I was able to put the entire thing together in 4 hours. The "hardest" part is cable routing, but only because it requires removing, and reinstalling pulleys as you go along. It might be more convenient to have a helper to replace the bolts while you hold the cable in place, but other than that it's really quite simple in my opinion.
It depends on a number of factors including your budget, your workout goals, the space you have in your facility and more. Can you tell us a little more about your situation??
Hello from indonesia! Each weight stack represent 10 lbs right? Is the resistance different for each workout? For me, i think the chest fly/ pec fly is lighter than the load I chose. I know the ratio is 2:1 for the leg press but thats all i know, reading from the website. Do you have a list for all the weight ratios for each workout? Thanks..
I really wish they had answered this question hahah. With all these multi-gyms, it's like they are amazing for isolation exercises like pushdowns or the pec dec or whatever, but it seems like this would be way too little resistance for an exercise like the leg press, or even a chest press for a lot of people.
I put mine together today and I noticed this as well, I like preacher curls. I might have to fabricate a seat and arm rest on the leg they use for bicep curls, there's enough room there to make it happen with some square tubing stock.
Hey Jean-Philippe, it really depends on what you're trying to accomplish and what type of equipment you think you'll need. What are your fitness goals?
Edward, that's an older attachment that we no longer have on hand in our offices. If you can find it, it does still attach but we no longer officially carry it and that's why there are no videos on it.
Kenneth for exact pricing and availability you will need to search through our online retailers or find a Body-Solid dealer in your area at bodysolid.com/dealer_locator.

I’ve had this machine for nearly a year and every time I’ve done the oblique crunch, the wire that runs on the pulley slides of the pulley to the side that I’m doing the oblique crunch on, is there a way I can fix this?
Please contact our team at service@bodysolid.com or bodysolid.com/service and we can get some additional info from you and figure out what's going on and how to fix it.
MSRP for the machine is $4950 but our dealers routinely sell it for well under. We've seen as low as $2995. Let us know if you need any help finding a dealer!
Love the machine but I don't like the lack of education on how to use the machine. We are not all weight lifters and users of this equipment. I received a poster but it is very inadequate!!! We spent a lot of money and deserve better!!!!
@JoshCarr-wg8hb I am a 72 year old woman. I wasn't raised during the technology age I am not asking anyone to teach me how to lift. I was in my younger years a professional athlete. I would just like a more detailed poster showing how to use and set up different stations. Have a little patience with people. You read like a very unhappy, know it all!!

I don't understand why nowadays they have to make this exercise machines so bulky? - I don't know why they stopped making the Universal Multi Station Machines from the 70's and 80's - You know, They one everybody used in High School! - They were perfect and NOT bulky! The Universal Multi Station was the very best exercise machine ever made, They even had it at the original Gold's Gym where Arnold trained.
New exercise machines like this one are now designed to simulate free weights and the arcs and angles and motions necessary for its replication require a larger machine.

Who cares
I'd love to some follow along workouts 😜
I think I like the oblique crunch the most
The pulley stack is actually short to effectively do curls and rows. I hit the top of the stack before I get full range of motion.
longer chain?
the most absolutely amazing home gym, thank you @BodySolidFit
Glad to hear it is working well for you! Thank you!
I have a question. When the pin is set to ‘Shoulder Press’, is the unit engineered to do body weight dips? The design for the hand grips are perfect but it is only pinned on the one side. Thank you.
We wouldn't recommend doing body weight dips on the press arms. We sell the VKR30 VKR/Dip Station Attachment that would be much more stable.

I know the ratio is 2:1 for the leg press but thats all i know, reading from the website. Do you have a list for all the weight ratios for each workout? Thanks..
Can both weight stacks be combined in 1 exercise, for example on the leg press if you want to go really heavy?
I really wish they had answered this question hahah.
With all these multi-gyms, it's like they are amazing for isolation exercises like pushdowns or the pec dec or whatever, but it seems like this would be way too little resistance for an exercise like the leg press, or even a chest press for a lot of people.
The leg press is using a 2:1 ratio, so the weight is doubled. You're getting about 420lbs out of the 210lb stack that it's attached to.
I like everything about this one except for the lack of a preacher curl bicep pad attachment.
I put mine together today and I noticed this as well, I like preacher curls. I might have to fabricate a seat and arm rest on the leg they use for bicep curls, there's enough room there to make it happen with some square tubing stock.
Is this the same as the EXM3750 & LP375. Mines not white??
The EXM3750 Home Gym is an older model that is mostly sold overseas these days. Very similar builds though but they are different.
