    Thank you so much for making this video. I had to search through 2 thousand dudes to find you so I could send this to my mom who is worried that she needs to be a man to do this for some reason. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Keep making videos.

    Love your video! Do you have a special camera to assist in getting to the hitch correctly?

      Not sure about your tow vehicle, but my Ford back up camera has two modes. 1 for normal backup, view directly back. 2 for hitching, the camera view is angled down directly at the hitch area

    If you didn't know the size of the receiver end of the trailer, and if it was a trailer you hadn't used before, how would you know what to do and if it was compatible? (This may be the case when looking at used trailers for sale, and there's 3 main sizes...not just 1.). And also can you put a 2 inch receiver on a 1.5" ball? Or do they have to be exactly the same size for both parts?

    • @GarfieldHiscock
      @GarfieldHiscock 4 месяца назад +1

      If you place a 2" receiver on a 1 7/8" ball you risk a disconnection if you hit a pothole or a driveway ramp or... Typically, larger trailers require larger balls.

    Blonde question, but how do you check that the brake lights, turn signals work if you are by yourself?

    • @shofarsogood7504
      @shofarsogood7504 3 года назад +4

      Some trucks have a light check mode in dash computer where it will cycle through each light for you as you walk around. Hazards will check both turn signals.

      I was given this tip: walk around to the back of camper and use your Fob key to open and lock the door, the camper lights should turn on when doing this.

    I found this to be very cursory. Good overview but I craved close in shots particularly landing the ball into the receiver and locking. Good list - mention gloves?
