Tell me something, though, in a show like The Walking Dead, when a character of high revealance to said show wants to leave, you're left with two options. Either give the character a big hoorah death, or have them disappear by either going off somewhere. The latter option works mainly for people you plan to make return, as for others? All that really makes sense is to put them on the chopping block. This is why I dont understand why people don't just get angry at the actors and actresses that want to leave, instead they take it out on the show entirely
Chandler Riggs has been very vocal on how it was not his choice to leave. Gimple claims it was for story reasons only and nothing else. I’ll criticize that decision all day.
Because Chandler Riggs bought a house on set as he was supposed to keep paying Carl but Gimple killed him off likely to not have to pay him an adults acting salary or whatever it’s called
Was that up to Gimple? Wouldn’t there be folks much higher up who just didn’t want to spend the money? Gimple rhymes with pimple annoys me, but I always wondered if he wasn’t just the scapegoat for AMC.
I’m going to be honest here rewatching season 8 again was actually not to bad besides Carl dying but fun fact when you said Carl looked inside the car they technically did it again way back in season 2 episode 1 with Lori. I wish Carl survive and Rick was supposed to die at the end of season 8 by tree and they were thinking that the CRM would fine him and take him.
People say that Glenn's death ruined the show. I heavily disagree. Glenn's death was actually meant for the sake of the story and was accurate to the original source material. Anyone who stopped watching the show because of Glenn's death, isn't a true Walking Dead fan. Carl, the future of The Walking Dead, and part of Rick's reason of still fighting, was killed off for no proper reason. As you said, it was very out of character of Carl, and the comic did a decent job of having Rick give Negan mercy without the death of Carl.
@@householdgambler Not completely. I don't have AMC+ or any channel with AMC. All I got is The Walking Dead Universe channel on Pluto TV. And I've heavily relied on RUclips for lore and explanation videos of The Walking Dead show and comic. But if I could, I would've watched the entire main series and most spin-offs. But I still know more than most Walking Dead fans. And I love the good majority of the characters and know why lots of people stopped watching the show.
I’m not sure I agree about Glenn’s death. At least about it being necessary because it was in the comics. The show deviated from the comics whenever they wanted. I wouldn’t say that is the best argument for Glenn’s death being “necessary”. I can understand other explanations though. I binged the show so I wasn’t quite as duped as folks who waited months and months pondering who else died. In fact I wasn’t even paying attention to seasons. 🤣 I only noticed later after rewatching the show when one season ended and another began. For me the fakeout death and real death happened so close together I was annoyed by THAT. ANYWAY, I sympathize with folks who waited and waited hoping they wouldn’t follow the comics because they didn’t want the death. Or those who didn’t follow the comics and therefore had no idea it might be coming.
In my opinion Carl is a overhatet death I agree that he as a peacemaker doesn’t make sense but I liked Morgan’s story arc maybe they should have just left the peace and just killed negan and the other saviors
Carl had to die so Rick could have a DEI son. Obvious. Why kill his son and then almost immediately replace him with another? You can pretend like that has nuthin' to do with it but it is what it is as they say
Carls changed came to fast. It happened but not that fast. Carl is dead and rick will disappear. Then the shitty parents here being michonne and rick left their kids with people in skins. They forgot about the story was about and human nature behind it
Carl’s death was stupid, after years of taking on walkers he finally get bit while helping some random character do something pointless? And all of a sudden he lost his balls and thinks we should make peace with the guy who JUST bombed your home and beat your friend’s heads in with a bat?

And other things if possible
I like this idea. Buttons the horse would be another good one.
@@kitm141 someone has mentioned a backstory to Dog as well, I think these would be a fun story to see expanded on
At first I thought, “ How boring would that be?” But upon further consideration, it could be interesting, if well done. And I think this influencer could do it better than any other.
So yeah. 👍🏼
And Negan is now the best character in the franchise
For a lot of folks he is. I can see it, but, I am bored with Neagan.
I wanted to love Dead City but I was underwhelmed. My unpopular opinion, obviously. 😝 He is definitely divisive and that makes him a pretty influential character.
31:39 Never saw Ricky do that with the bat
It's they way the did with Primo from the old folks home. They never explained either.
6:41 lol i have that exact type of Polaroid camera
Hell yeah brother
I think a show centered around the formation of the saviors would be as big as the walking dead itself.
Recently i have discovered ( or more like led to discover) that at the the terminus , when they all lined up at the trough, the guy who gets his throat cut , is the same guy from the orchard...
🫨 Dang, I’ve never noticed that.
@@thisbeem2714 me neither until someone pointed it out . Rick gave home his watch in the orchard..Carol finds it in terminus where all the taken away stuff was stored , and gives it back to Rick
@@zsuzsannasalda I knew the kid had been there, because of the watch. I just didn’t realize that he was at the trough with Rick and his group.
"There's only person that's gotta die."
And who is that person, Rick?
I think everyone can agree, the writing in the show was completely inferior to the comics.
I’d say after season three
Not entirely, but definitely seasons 7 and up.
1,2, and 3 were better in the show.
Can we get a video on Gregory?
You can rig ammo to go off in the chamber but firing backwards...
I don’t know anything much about guns. I did wonder what exactly happened with all those bullets.
Hot Diggity Dog
This is Magnificent!
When Simon turns and looks the exact same as before LOL.😂
L❤️VE this Video
(。♡‿♡。)
You are so Talented🙌💎
Can you do a video about the walker soilder that was in the tank in season 1?
I don’t think 20 walkers could wear down a tiger. You mean to tell me like 8 did
😅 I guess we’d have to test that to know for sure. I don’t care, I missed Shiva after she was gone.
👏👏👏
if you watch movie fusions recent video about unpopular walking dead opinions you might gain more insight of Carl's peace storyline
I’ll definitely check it out!
Hear me out if Carl and Morgan swapped rolls😩
☹️ They did.
Yes Carl survived towards the very end of the comics even married Sophia, and have a kid.
Anyone who missed 1 episode and didn't watch every spinoff is not a true Walking Dead fan.
The story arc that killed the walking dead
YIPPEE
Can thé do thé fall Atlanta
In my opinion Carl is a overhatet death I agree that he as a peacemaker doesn’t make sense but I liked Morgan’s story arc maybe they should have just left the peace and just killed negan and the other saviors
Early gang😁
Carl had to die so Rick could have a DEI son. Obvious. Why kill his son and then almost immediately replace him with another? You can pretend like that has nuthin' to do with it but it is what it is as they say
Niceeeee
You mean hillbilly armour?
AMC execs didnt listen to the cast or writers, thats why the season is so bad and why we lost many characters
The storyline that made 94% of the fans leave. They should have skipped all of this and gone right to the Whisperers.
More like All Out Bore
Morgan's comeback is so overrated and became a added cast for fear twd
Carls changed came to fast. It happened but not that fast. Carl is dead and rick will disappear. Then the shitty parents here being michonne and rick left their kids with people in skins. They forgot about the story was about and human nature behind it
FIRSTTTTT
Carls actor had school to deal with😂😂
Gimple ruined the show
2+2=9
Who tf is morales? 😂😂 I watched that season multiple times. Stop making up character arcs please lol jk
He's from season 1. He's the guy who left with his family of his accord.
can't tell if this is a joke or no
@mattbennetts5356 it's a joke, I don't know the characters names. It's just I've seen a lot of episodes and noticed this guy lol
Bruh he knew morales for all of 2 days...a week at most, like wht are u talking bout lol, considered an ally is wayyyy too much
? Morgan spent a total of two days with Rick and followed him all the way to Washington
Carl was the WORST character in this entire series, I couldn't fucking stand him
I love your videos so much man
Thanks so much mate!
Carl’s death was stupid, after years of taking on walkers he finally get bit while helping some random character do something pointless? And all of a sudden he lost his balls and thinks we should make peace with the guy who JUST bombed your home and beat your friend’s heads in with a bat?
