Hi John, as always, thank you so much for your thoughtful informative videos. Sadly, these daily scenes of mass tourists squeezing through the yard of Horseguards are becoming unsustainable, and it's not even the main summer season yet! Is no one in the MOD security teams worried for public safety, the safety of the military & indeed the lovely & very patient horses. Mass tourist groups should not be allowed in the yard. No suitcases or large bags or backpacks either. I worked in Whitehall for a very long time and used the yard to cross between government departments & Parliament. I never encountered such issues as I see today. To even enter the Palace of Westminster now is tedious but warranted. I fear the tourist companies are getting greedy & the numbers they guide are sublimely large through the yard. Don't get me started on the foreign students! The rudeness amongst some of them is disgraceful but also very sad to serving troupers who give their lives to king and country. As you have highlighted, there are other groups of mainly younger persuasions who are just as ignorant! You did say the military personnel appreciate your time and videos. Can you show or highlight how, as myself, amongst others, worry desperately for the security, well-being of the troupers and horses. It's time for change of how the worlds tourists are allowed to enter this precious space! Please, please help John! My best wishes, Theresia
That group of guy’s hanging around the soldiers sure does look shady! Oh and John, the sound of the raindrops on your umbrella is relaxing to me. I just wished it wasn’t so miserable for you! From your Pennsylvania fan in the USA!!
Animals are not stupid : When my dog Bullet tells me he wants to go for a Pee, I open the back door and if it's throwing it down with rain he pokes his head out, gets his nose wet, goes into Reverse and looks at me like ::: *_"NO WAY am I going out there.... I'll wait till it stops raining...!"_* 😂
We trained all our Rotties to go outside in all kinds of weather. Because they were working dogs, either for Police work or S&R, we trained them all with the same command. Go do hurry up!! And then we'd have a stack of drying towels by the door when they all came in. All 4 adult dogs. 2 males and 2 females. The one male we'd tell him to Patrol, and he'd go around the whole 300 acres and do his business while on patrol, the other 3 we trained to go to one spot in the back yard. When they came in, they were trained to wait, and we'd dry them off. They knew if they waited they got a treat at the end. Those guys are very suspicious. The fact they hanging out in the rain, and dont seem real tourist like. They are watching, especially the comings and goings. I hope the police are on it. Stay safe please.
John, the group of four are the second wave of the guys I told you about last year. They are middle eastern but the language they are speaking is not straight up Arabic... I thought I caught some French words. My intuition about these types are never wrong. They are planning something for the Spring/Summer because horse guards don't have enough police to handle what they plan. The last group was four too and they are off at other tourist spots.

Those guys who were back today did go out the front on Monday. They were standing to the left of the horse and guard in the box on the right. l live in Victoria, Australia on the coast west of Melbourne. We are now in urgent need of a few days of heavy rainfall, my garden is so dry. Watching and listening to the rain in your video was delightful for me.
That many people around the horse is an accident waiting to happen !! If the horse gets spooked people WILL BE TRAMPLED!! And it won't be the horses fault or the guards.
I spotted them just before you raised the question of them being 'rapid repeat' visitors! I thought they were dodgy in your Monday video and now I'm convinced of it. You're spot on! I wondered whether they were pickpockets working the crowd on Monday. Do keep your camera on them or even have a chat to one of the Officers on duty.
Wow, so many people. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ When I see images like these, it makes me really happy and relieved that I live in the peaceful, quiet countryside. Xx
@@annmarritt4337 It is Ann, but there again I have friends in London, and although they love it here when they visit, they are city people through and through. We're all different aren't we, it would be a boring world if we were all the same wouldn't it xx
Me too. A small quiet Anglo-Saxon founded market town set in the Wessex countryside. Bronze Age barrows, Iron Age hillforts, Medieval castles, rolling fields and woodland. If one really wants to see "Ye Olde England🏴" then one should leave the beaten track. London has its attractions but there's so much more to England in particular and the UK in general.🇬🇧
@@Wulfyrthat’s exactly what I did when I was visiting my family in Braintree. The countryside was gorgeous and people so kind. Unfortunately I’ll probably never get to visit again, but I’ll not forget the visit. I got to go a couple of times while I was stationed in Europe.
I hold my breath everytime a young child is sacrificed in front of rarden the parents continue to hold the kid even when being nearly bit its obvious the horse does not want you near why do you have to wait till you get bitten
Jon. Its so dangerous with all these people..that poor horse...if he panics there will be nowhere for him to go..these poor troopers. Times like those there should be an armed guard or another trooper.. Those 4 were in ur previous video..most concerning the way that they r just hanging around like that...
4:59 The horse is laying his ears back now, a good sign he’s had enough. I don’t like it when people invade my 3 feet of space and this horse definitely does not either.
Please don't complain about the rain. It looked lovely. I live in Western Australia and we haven't had rain for seven months. We're hoping for a wet winter this year.
Good morning everyone , all the way from Australia. Another great video of the horse guards. The guard who walks through 19.50, has the most amazing tattoo, and is built like a tank. He has the broadest shoulders and strong built body, possibly one of the most strongest guards there in my oppinion. He would know how to handle a horse that got out of control or people if he was needed
Horses sense fear. People have no business getting near them if they're afraid of horses. I don't know what they expect from the horse when they're standing there with their hands out like they have something for the horse to eat. keep your hands away from the horses! And the thugs should be escorted out.....no reason necessary!
Goodmorning from North Carolina John...im telling you I'm getting an anxiety attack just watching this. This is totally overwhelming. That poor horse. I think the guardsman should tell them GET BACK DONT TOUCH THE HORSE!!!
28:15 Images compared for you. 20mins into Monday's 'Idiot Chavs' video. Since we're on alert in the wake of Moscow, I think concerns are fully justified.
The trouble is that some of these visitors seem to think this is a theme park set with actors. They cannot grasp that they are in the guards work place.
What is the purpose of standing there and staring at the guards? Yes their behavior is off but unfortunately like here in the US they can’t do much about it but watch them until they do something stupid. It certainly smells of doing some counter surveillance for a possible future attack. I just don’t see why they would stand there and stare at a guard. 🤷🏻♂️
I don’t understand how people can be so surprised when the horse tries to bite because they have their hands in their face or they are standing too close. Dumb and dumber 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🙄
I agree, a sign or something would be a good idea. I don't think it is intentional by some people, especially for those who really don't know too much about horseguards. Xxxx
@@susaneglinton2184: Yep, right up there in black and white. Add to that the visitors who are getting nipped and bitten right in front of them no less. It must be the growing trend in thinking by people who really believe that rules don’t apply to them. Add to that the “ surely that would never happen to me”….”besides, & surely, those rules and directions can’t possibly apply to me.”.
@@susaneglinton2184 there’s a great difference between warning visitors of possible danger and telling them they are prohibited from doing something. You really cannot equate the two. Visitors are allowed (even encouraged) to touch the horses even though they might bite or kick. Visitors seeking shelter under the arches are treated like trespassers, even though there is absolutely nothing warning them not to go there. A simple, portable “No Entry” sign placed on the boundary would save everyone a deal of aggravation. We’ve been suggesting one for years, with no improvement, so the policy can’t be that important to the guards.
What a RABBLE! WHY are people allowed to get so close and annoy and manhandle the horses! This ridiculous innane noise and behaviour is an insult to the Military, the horses and the country! 😂 It is long time past the need for barriers / chains to be put between the Public and the horses - keep them at least 6 feet away at all times!
It's a public footpath in Whitehall under Westminster council not MOD any form of barrier/chain would be potentially dangerous for horse and Trooper if the horse became unsettled and ran forward as we have seen on several occasions .
@@kathellison8084I am fully aware of the public footpath situation However I think there needs to be a better way to deal with the crowd control and prevent too close access to Guards and horses.
With you on that one John, they really look like trouble.Just waiting, like you to see what they are up to.Best you don’t confront them though. Please don’t panic around so quickly, makes me dizzy.😂😂
💯 right John those 4 were in part 2 on Monday doing just the same wearing the same clothes and looking very suspicious. Why don't people understand when the horse puts their ears back they are going to bite you 🙄 such ignorant and disrespectful people. Thank you John and stay safe❤❤🇬🇧🇬🇧
Why do you ALWAYS come on here and scream “animal abuse”? The horse was not happy that’s true, but if you actually watched the video you’d see that they weren’t THAT upset…..uncomfortable yes, but not intolerably so, AND it only lasted for a few minutes, before the insane crowds thinned out again. You strike me as a stirrer and a troll.
I do wish people would stop using the phrase " animal abuse " simply because they don't like the fact that people are allowed to touch the horses ! Abuse - cruelty and neglect , do you see either here ? Some horses enjoy the interaction , imagine a life with no contact , no loving pat or stroke , yes some horses get a little uncomfortable and show it but it's 1 hour in their lives . As for those who keep insisting " they should be out running and playing in green fields " what happens when the fields are no longer green no food or water , they become sick or injured no one to look after them ? That's abuse , cruelty and neglect so save your " oh poor horses " bleeding heart for them !
I agree Wendy that they shouldn't be touching the horses but these animals are well trained & very well looked after. I would consider it a form of harrassment & too chaotic 😢
That group were standing in exactly the same places on Monday. They seem very interested in the doors by the guard shop. Be interesting to compare the times they appeared on both days. Let’s hope it turns out to be innocent and they are stone masons mesmerised by the architecture!
You’re not going mad they were hanging around Monday. Decidedly dodgy for sure. Making me feel uncomfortable watching them actually, like their casing the joint 😮
@joannenewsome5202 the horses are only in the box for 1 hour, less if the horse decides otherwise!!! Those on foot are there for 2 hours, and can walk a certain pattern!

Poor horse. Poor, lovely nose. She definitely didn’t like all those poking fingers.
Yes very suspicious behaviour and trying to stare police and you down so out of place
People need to watch their pockets
If a horse is trying to bite you wouldn't that tell you don't touch ? Stupid comes to mind
You’d think….but apparently to this lot it means “yes by all means continue being annoying twats”
😂😂😂😂
Ha Ha. Then walk around crossed-legged I imagine.
Best Regards from a Retired Paramedic, a S&R Dog and Handler Team Trainer and Horse Trainer in Ontario, Canada, Jenn 💖 🇨🇦. Who right now is re-certifying 2 S&R teams in Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada. And will be home in Ontario for Easter dinner!!!
My three are the same. They hate the wet
All my dogs knew they would get a good rub down with a towel when it was raining/snowing and they loved that!! They just leaned into it. Think it took care of some of the itches they could not reach. 😆😉
People are just nuts.I continue to be amazed at the disrespect of young people it’s terrible.😢😢
the horse is displaying his dislike with ears back
Kudos to the Police! They are there everyday, rain or shine putting up with all these people..Cheers to them!
@vaec58 rubbish thier only there because it's royalty.i got beat uncowhen he got abusivem

0:02 I thought i was going daft😂 i thought i haven't been notified of part 1 glad we got that sorted Thank you John❤
1 or 2 both will be very informative and entertaining I’m sure ❤
❤️❤️Thankyou for the heads up on part one, I was looking everywhere for it, guess I'll wait for it too come out of the cupboard 😂😂😂 A Quote from Bottom Live. What Is it doing in the cupboard. Eddy to Rik🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🇦🇺❤️🇬🇧🐴⚔️🛡️🪖👍🥰 All Hail British Comedy!🤣🤣🤣
Unbelievable,, unbelievable.i feel for the beautiful horse and the Guard.
John i have had to date 31 likes for my comment saying bring out Ormonde.
Why can't they Just leave the poor Horses alone. Would they like someone rubbing around there FACES. Unbelievable I feel sorry for the Poor animals bless them.
You mean there are people going to tourist spots? Heaven help us.

@@4ebees There Is a difference between visiting and loitering.
I reckon they're doing more than loitering, like someone said it's like they're casing the place, i reckon they're clocking routines myself but cropped hair is def military @@cf3443
Why do people get so close respect their invasion of space.
To be honest there wasn't much room for anyone today. If Rarden had spooked, some folks would have been trampled.
Crazy amount of Eedjits today
Another site calls them tourons(like morons)
Poor horse it’s awful the way they are crowding him the guard should tell to stop when there’s so many people. Great video John 😊
Hi John those 4 are up to something glad you have them on camera.thank you John.
Wierd behavior for men that age, the group of 4 men were there on Monday.. I'm sure the guards have an eyes on them.
When I see images like these, it makes me really happy and relieved that I live in the peaceful, quiet countryside. Xx
It’s heaven isn’t it I live in a little village and it’s so quiet love it .

It is Ann, but there again I have friends in London, and although they love it here when they visit, they are city people through and through.
Let's hope it stays that way, Evan where I am there has bern more and more houses built .@@Wulfyr
I have watched your videos for a long time, and I have noticed that you have a brilliant judgement on people. 😊
Why doesn’t the guard tell them to back off. The horses don’t like it and the people are so stupid!!
I hold my breath everytime a young child is sacrificed in front of rarden the parents continue to hold the kid even when being nearly bit its obvious the horse does not want you near why do you have to wait till you get bitten
I’m glad the trooper is back in the box. That way people stop with the feeling hands 😊
Hi John. IQ as an onion. Lmao 😅😂😂. Hi Rarden 💗. It’s Rardens twin Tyranny. ❤😊Oooooh it’s insane there.
I’m guessing it was the other twins day for the brain cell.
AMAZING filming John on a very wet day,Well Done My Friend.
It makes me think of the tragedy that Horse Guards suffered years ago. This made the me ache in the pit of my stomach
Despise loitering like that!!!! definitely causes concern
Love to see tourist admiring the Horses not annoying them
The horse is trying to tell them to leave him idiots do not listen. Get Ormonde and Arnie out there…it will be a different result I guarantee!!
Jon. Its so dangerous with all these people..that poor horse...if he panics there will be nowhere for him to go..these poor troopers. Times like those there should be an armed guard or another trooper..
Those 4 were in ur previous video..most concerning the way that they r just hanging around like that...
Agreed
Very they,re making me concerned
What was it like during the pandemic. Were there horse guards. I admire each and every one of the soldiers and horses for their patience.
That group of four do look suspiciously out for trouble. Thats why they kept looking at you john.glad the police was there😊😊😮😢❤❤❤❤
That trooper looks amazing he could be straight out of a film.
Yes, they are correct in saying that nothing exists to advise visitors from staying out of the arches. Perhaps it is time for a sign to be posted.
They were so friendly and sincere it was hard not to sympathise TBH.
I agree, a sign or something would be a good idea.
I don't think it is intentional by some people, especially for those who really don't know too much about horseguards. Xxxx
There is a sign say the horses BITE, still stupid people shove their hands in the horses face.
Imagine all those hands coming at you at once….people don’t think.
How do the guards and horses stand this? Beyond belief 😢😢😢😢
You’re right about that small group. Very suspicious
You are always so polite. It's always a pleasure listening to you! ☺️
I like the young lad, who solutes the soldier, after his photo. Repect to the young man.
Yes,I felt the same way about those four creeps…
💯 right John those 4 were in part 2 on Monday doing just the same wearing the same clothes and looking very suspicious. Why don't people understand when the horse puts their ears back they are going to bite you 🙄 such ignorant and disrespectful people. Thank you John and stay safe❤❤🇬🇧🇬🇧
Why do they continuously have to touch the horses face ? I would have claustrophobia.
Mischievous Lifeguards putting our favourite Rarden out for a full touron buffet 😂😂😂😂
For goodness sake this has to stop.Crowding the horse hands all over his head and face. ANIMAL ABUSE.
I can't believe how busy it is for a weekday.
Hi John, how do they ever know if any of these people are dangerous or not and there to hurt someone, it's scary 😢😢😢😢😢
You’re not going mad they were hanging around Monday. Decidedly dodgy for sure. Making me feel uncomfortable watching them actually, like their casing the joint 😮
That weather is horrible! Staying out in cold, damp weather is too much for two hours. A one hour shift should be enough. Two hours is torture.
@joannenewsome5202 the horses are only in the box for 1 hour, less if the horse decides otherwise!!! Those on foot are there for 2 hours, and can walk a certain pattern!
Very off and gives me a creepy feeling
