Sport-L, not sport. Thanks for the video, but a lot that didn't seem accurate. Appreciate all your work though. And I've never seen anyone get so excited about a simple backseat armrest with cup holders. :)
I think it looks clean and attractive. It doesn't looke like a Taurus. Serously. The last gen Taurus was "thicker" all the way around plus it had a high beltline. The grill and tail lights are different too. The only con I can see in the Sport trim is the lack of rear seat AC vents. That's a pretty glaring omission on a 35K car.
Lol, get your eyes checked then. It looks exactly like the last model of Taurus that was released in the Chinese market which is essentially a slimmed down change on the 2013-2019 models. I wouldn’t go as far as to call it “bad” looking but it’s plain and boring. It’s a modern Taurus with none of the things that made the Taurus good.

I parked my 2021 accord sport special edition next to this 2023 at the dealership. Just got off the truck that morning. And was at the dealership for 2 hours starring at this car trying to lime it. Hands down, the 2021 has more character. The gauge cluster in 2023 is much smaller smd the rear has no usb ports or not even a pocket opening. This generation price mark up, adds no exterior incentives to buy. Honda missed the mark on this. And I've had 3 accords.
I feel like this car isn't mean for people who already own a recent Honda Accord (2019 or newer). It seems to be more catered towards people looking to buy their first Hybrid, and for them it's mainly just down to choosing between this and the Toyota Camry Hybrid.
Higher elevation doesn’t really effect this car the way it would a gas model. Hondas hybrid system basically uses the electric motors to solely power the wheels at lower speeds and higher speeds it can couple the engine to help power the car. Think of this as EV with a ICE generator most of the time. Toyota’s design is slightly different as they use a a power split device (also known as an eCVT) which can split power between the engine and electric motors evenly because they can both power the wheels simultaneously.
Technically it still does as the engine still needs to work as a generator when demanding more power (but not at the speed where the direct connection to the engine engages) even if you have a charged battery. I could be wrong but this is my observation owning a 10th gen hybrid.
@@carguy-xv2cl yes and no, at lower speeds the engine isn’t coupled to the wheels so overall torque stays the same regardless of elevation. It’s only at high speeds (60+mph) would you see a slight drop. NA Gas only cars are affected the most since the ICE is the only component thats powering the car (no turbos or electric motors as helpers). Your range will drop though which is another problem.
@@tails300 Hmm, you could be right. What im confused about is that why does the gas engine come on when I step on the gas a little harder and the battery is fully charged above 30 and below 60?
I test drove this exact car a few days ago at Stockton 12.
