Just purchased the MT45 Platinum today and Im excited to finally camp ice free. I borrowed my dad's non digital 45 and it was fantastic. I do need to get the bag but at $145 usd, I'm going to wait for a price drop on amazon. Thanks for the vid!
Hi mate just wondering on if yours is still going till this day and never missed a beat, If you taking it anywhere around Aust at all? As i'm looking at getting one myself.
The green mat is to turn your fridge into a freezer. If you put food into your fridge and place the mat on top everything under that mat will freeze. Everything above the mat remains as a fridge.
Bill Pullen Sure does I recently got one. Upon inspection i noticed the bolt on the lid clamp was stripped and it is louder than my old non digital MT-45. This one feels more cheaply made than my older MT-45.
That's a furphy which doesn't really tell you much about consumption. For some reason (but MUST be suspicious!) none of the manufacturers or dealers want to tell you the actual power consumption: IN WATTS, which is the ONLY way to tell you how mch power you need to supply. It's like the difference between a car engine's HORSEPOWER and the MPG. The OLD Engel (I've had one for 14 years, used 24/7 )had a sticker on the side that tells you the WATTS @ dc that was needed to run it. The newer ones I've seen (ALL brands)make it almost impossibe to find out, and I'd refuse to buy one on principle. But my recent exerience is that MOST of the more modern ones consume about 60 - 85 Watts, and my old Engel consumed about 32. Tells the story, doesn't it? Prticuarly when it's not a picnic event, but used full-time in an off-grid house.

Just pull the sticker backing off and press it down on top of the fridge, no need to remove the velcro from each other ;)
wee b was just about to say the same

Do you know if the LED light stays on all the time?
Bill Pullen hey bill yes the led stays on permanently, but has no affect on power draw , extremely efficient fridge👍
