Thanks boss....the heat is too much this period....am a student of Animal science.....and my day old chicks broilers arrived yesterday 153 birds in number The birds arrived the farm during afternoon period..the temperature was very hot.. We even removed the charcoal pot because the chicks were moving away from the source of heat..
I wish you success in the rearing of your birds. Are they for your project? Abeg try to buy a thermometer, so you get to know the room temperature at all times and adjust accordingly.... The good thing about this season is it saves you cost of brooding, during the day, since you will not be using charcoal, but get a thermometer and open up the room once the temperature exceeds what the birds need
@@farmsdiary thanks boss..I really appreciate Your videos has been encouraging me to learn more.. I have passion for rasing animals About my project the we are comparing three strains of broiler The Ross 308 The Cobb 500 The arbor acres
I've worked with the 3 and I've shared what it feels like day to day, raising Cobb and Ross on this channel, yet to share arbor acres, but Feel free to check the playlists
Also, a quick one, when you make your litter thin won't that affect the risk of a wet floor and ultimately the risk of coccidiosis, how do you prevent that?
The floor can't be wet right now, cause we still have a low relative humidity, the atmosphere is still very dry, therefore everything dries up immediately

Great insights brother, good to see you back. That's a fantastic flock. Haven't seen your work for a while though.

Its been a busy new year and I've been physically involved with farm work, so no much freedom for the camera... Lol
