This is the best part of the group. When I first heard their beats on mostly the singles w music videos I lost my shit. When you think about it, the rapping is very par except for a few verses here and there. The beats are some of the best and they’re so detailed by mostly one man
Fyi Pakistan isn't middle eastern and those from Pakistan don't identify with being a part of the Middle East. Pakistan used to be a part of India and Pakistan is a part of Southeast Asia
Pakistan and the Middle East have ancient historical, linguistic, and cultural ties, same with India, these countries and regions aren't monoliths and have existed in interaction and transaction with one another for millennia
Stupid is on 3 and it doesnt have much of a middle eastern vibe, and you forgot sweet and gummy being in exotic "middle eastern" scales (sweet brilliantly mixing major modes and frigeon, something like that) dude is a musical pioneer
@@fdei nah it most definetly is not bro. Phyrigian has been around way longer than western scales. I guess you could say it kinda derives from major, but again thats only if your thinking western scales came first
@@aibrainlet8041 lol I never even implied that the West invented phrygian, just that the phrygian is one of major modes in western music - which is a basic fact u can Google (along with Ionian, aeolian, Lydian, etc)
@@fdei right, most modes existed as ancient "scales". All of this is highly relative anyways. "Phrygian" for instance is what we would say is the "key" of most of the music in ancient egypt. Obviously it doesnt sound remotely "major" so it really makes no sense to relate the two at all. Lets not forget we're talking about the same 12 notes and the intervals between them. Essentially a scale or mode is not a "thing" its just a term we use. Its literally not real. Any major key is also a minor key, it just depends on the relationships and intervals of those pitches. So phrygian cant be more major than it could be minor or ionian or anything else because its all just a repositioning of what we consider home. Thats why you can have minor key melodies over a series of mostly major chords. Thats how Sweet works, it uses the commonalitys between major and phrygian but just listen to other music that uses phygian, it doesnt sound like that.
I’ve loved allll your videos so far! I feel the same way about all the members and I’m learning so much that I didn’t know and that’s impressive because I’ve done a deep dive research on the band many many times. Keep up the great work!
thanks so much! I'm so glad that you're learning stuff about the boys! I know I've definitely learned a lot while doing the research. Hope you enjoy the rest of the series too once it's up.
This is a good video, but you saya lot of things over and over. Youv stated the influences in his production twice, and stated that he is key to Brockhamptons signeture sound a ton of times
nice video and all that but you should practice writing your script as if ur talking like a normal person cause i fell like ur presenting ur 8th grade English assignment to class rn lol
Pakistan has nothing to do with the Middle East. it's an East Asian country. just because they're a Muslim country doesn't mean they're from that part of the world. seriously, America. get your shit together. ALSO, romil's occasional Arabian production twists have nothing to do with Pakistan. the music there is very different from what you've got in mind.
Yo what, Pakistan is right next to the Middle East, it doesn't exist in a fucking void, the Arabs, Persians, and Turks have all settled and interacted with the people of Pakistan, its not an East Asian country either, it's South Asia, and none of these regions exist in complete isolation with one another, for fucks sake theres hella Arabic and Farsi words in Urdu(the national language of Pakistan) that originate from interactions and transactions between South Asia and the Middle East
kevin is the steve jobs of brockhampton but romil and joba are an actual geniuses behind the curtains, not that kevin is not a genius
also jabari and kiko!
I’d say more jabari, kiko, hk and romil tbh

Ruthie Baxter South Asia, not Southeast :) But thanks for pointing it out as well !!!

Pakistan wasn’t part of India. India itself was formed as a nation a day after Pakistan.
