I remember back in the 80s on Halloween it started snowing in the afternoon and it snowed so hard I couldn't see the house across the street. They cancelled Halloween and by the next morning there was 4 feet of snow on the ground.
Southern MN from Blue Earth to Winona got ice, the worst was Freeborn and Mower counties. Think an inch of ice covering everything, causing power outages. If you were lucky, you were out of power for only 2 days, if you weren't up to a month without power. Plus lots of tree damage. The next spring, the tree service companies were busy.

I remember back when the news used to share the peoples story and not their own.
It happend in 1991 my first year in college... it was brutal.
1991
Please remind me folks, is this similar to the 1991 Halloween blizzard? I wasn’t born until a month and a half after it happened so I’m just curious
Sort of(looked it up and 8.2 inches fell that day and the next day snowed 18 on November 1st)
Ha ha😅
