Really admire how you keep pushing on through Winter…my last one was 6 weeks ago, but with Christmas and Work it’ll be Feb before I can get back out! ATB Nick
As you found out the council seem to digging up every road in West Cumbria. Difficult for you but a nightmare if you live here as any diversion can be 50 miles or so ! Another great video and the ones I prefer to watch from you. Again that part of the Lakes is not popular as no Wainwrights to bag. Just a stroll with views and peace and quiet.
Class film Dave. Love the way you have a plan B or C if Plan A isn't going to happen. Your experience and calmness just comes out in this. Great drone footage of a lovely area. Thanks for bringing it to us Dave.
That’s very kind of you Steven🙏🏻. I haven’t but I do have buy me a coffee. This is the best way to offer support if people want to. RUclips take 30% of any super thanks donations. Buy me a coffee is 5%; a big difference!
Excellent again. As an ex-resident of west Cumbria I know the Dunnerdale Fells well and it’s a great less visited area. The Blacksmith’s Arms was a favourite pub of ours and the Dunnerdale Fell Race is a great event. For the price I love my Alpkit pad.
Cracking video Dave. Love it around that area. It's always quiet because it's a bit of effort to get there. Nothing really high around there, but the whole area is stunning. My favourite place in the Lakes. Cheers,Ozzy.
Hi David cracking video has usual could I correct you the fells you were wild camping are wainwright's it was his book no 8 the outlying fells of Lakeland done myself just fantastic really quiet because people don't know much about them anyway all the best for your next video 😉
Hey, nice one Philip. I’m quite happy to be corrected and learn. As I’m not a proper bagger and have never read any of the books I wasn’t aware of this. Glad you enjoyed the video and best wishes 🙏🏻
Hi Dave. Stunning location mate. Those fells around the Ulpha and Duddon area are fantastic. What a morning you woke up to. On to the next one mate. All the best, Dave 😀🥾⛰🏕️
Brilliant camp Dave. Best laid plans n all that eh. A great example of staying open minded and letting something else happen. I’m gutted not to have gotten out in Nov and so I wanted to do 2 in December to make up for it (time running out out).😮 I ditched those flatty cups too. My GSI keeps it hot for ages - has a cozy and a life like your cup. I love my hot drinks!!! Take it easy 👍🏼🤠👍🏼
Nice one Dave. Stopped and looked at that area when I did Harter earlier this year..... Looked a nice easy, yet beautiful spot. Plenty of opinions round there. Keep it up mate 👍
Who or what are the Wainrights? As my brothers would say. Born and bred in the heart of the Lake District, we left for Germany in 61. Wainright can't yet have been that wellknown at the time.
Fantastic little spot Dave and another great video. What a beautiful sunrise you had. Just looking at your pack and what u carry, what weight are you carrying. I was camped last night on Bannerdale Crags, thought I was nailed on for a sunset but the clag arrived. My pack was 20.3kg all in water included and it was tough going up the side of the tongue 😂
Cheers Peter. Yeah it’s an absolute slog with 20kg in winter conditions. I try not to carry water if at all possible but 18-20kg is my weight if I include ice axe and crampons, Allak, etc. That also includes my filming gear which you may not have?🥵 ATB 👍
A belting December camp, ace to see you scope out a newish area. I bet that sunrise was lovely once it hit you and your tent. Great vid as always ATB 👊
Another little gem of a video 🎉. Dramatic views, a great sunrise, beautiful surroundings, a rainbow and a fighter plane - and Solo No Bagger: it can't get much better.
What was that with those collapsible beakers anyway? Suddenly everyone used one (and held it into the camera). Only the best camping kit and then drinking tea or coffee out of plastic 🤮 😂. Take care and a merry Christmas to you and yours. 🎄
Stunning rainbow and sunrise 😍 Fab watch as always! Definitely something going around btw, I also felt off this week, nauseous etc, but we battle through 👊🏻☺️
just looked up that stove because I want something that fits pan nicely. there's a health warning from government on stoves from 2023.chance of them exploding , leaking, and tube degrading .your probably aware of this but if not please check.
just a thought but if you've paid £40/50 on stove I would take it back i can't see a reason they would refuse, without being dramatic it could of killed you.
Seasons Greetings to you Dave and all the best in 2025. Many thanks for all the entertainment you have brough to us all this year. Cheers👍
Thank you Donald. Really appreciate that. Take care and very best wishes 🙏🏻
