Game Description -
Arthur and Mordred fell at Camlann field, Arthur's body has been taken to Avalon, and unknown to the fey, Mordred followed...for the shattered son of King Arthur is not dead. By way of forbidden lore, his body endured the wounds of Excalibur and followed along the hidden ways to Avalon. I don’t think I would necessarily call the thumbnail clickbait rather than misleading? I understood the title on the thumbnail as “Don’t waste your time on this game” as opposed to “no time to waste, you have little time left to order the game”… so I thought it was going to be a very negative review on the game…
The thumbnail made more sense with the first title on the video “last day to back . . .” I didn’t get any complaints until after the GF closed and the title changed. I assume it’s BGG users looking for a critical review and not a breakdown of the GF page and updates.
I changed the title since it was no longer accurate after 24 hours.
I’ll change the thumbnail out to something that makes more sense.

Not having a solo mode its what keeping me for backing it.
I have been burned a few times where I go crazy on a game thats has not solo mode and then my play group for it falls apart so yeah...my only rule with boardgames is: it needs to have solo viability.
I understand it - and I also understand why they didn’t try and squeeze a solo mode in :)
maybe keep a close watch then; afaik they are experimenting with a solo mode.

@@Revarine I'm actually happy they didn't do a solo mode. I love solo modes but I've realized lately that if I want a good solo mode it has to make sense and be just as good as the actual game not solo. Games all the time put a million modes into their game and mostly they are half baked and terrible. Or add too much extra overhead to be viable solo.
You gotta listen to your fan base man. As much as I appreciate your work and trying to capture peoples attention it isnt a good look for those first visitors of your channel if half the people feel the title/thumbnail is clickbait. Im not here to take a side. Just a thought, maybe try and hold your audience and keep fans on your side rather than divide them through sly tactics. Its the difference between views now vs long time subscribers and views later down the road. Sure if you want views now keep doing what your doing but if you want people to stay then maybe not the best tactic to be abstract in your titles. Its the difference between instant gratification or being in it for the long run.

@Quackalope sounds good just thinking strategically for you and have no animosity at all about the situation. I get the tactic absolutely and think whatever gets money on the table now sometimes we gotta do what we gotta do . Wording is everything and just looking out for you.

Well . . . one - I was not gone for a year. Two - it’s easy to call any title I use “click bait” unless it’s an ineffective bland title that no one clicks on and therefore won’t even cross your path. The title of this video is very direct. The thumbnail is a bit more abstract - but it’s emphasizes the title. Don’t waste your time - you don’t have time to read through the updates - you don’t have time to check on new mechanics and upgrades - you don’t have time to wait . . . The campaign is closed yesterday when this was posted. It’s an effective caption that is relevant to the content in the video.
@@Quackalope I’m a fan and wish you well, but the thumbnail is very clickbait. I got pissed double-taking on it. It’s misleading to grab your attention, and the first impression of the title isn’t a good look for the game/company. Just my opinion and I’m not one who usually cares about this stuff (also not OP).
@@dpollere the original title of the video (yesterday when it went live) was Last Chance to Back . . . I’ll grant that the thumbnail and original title pair together better. I changed the title after the campaign closed - since “last chance to back” was no longer accurate.
The content of the video is about all the information we had at the end of the campaign. I break that down right away and even state “I read everything they put out, so you don’t have to waste your time”.

Thanks for the vote and the comment. Already responded to a comment like this - it’s a reasonable fairly accurate title and a more abstract thumbnail.
I'm really on the edge with iron forged addon. Since they deluxified all the basic components, I don't really see the point in the addon. I mean, the components will look the same, just be made out of metal... Or are metal components so much better?
For me, metal is so much better - its texture and weight :) - but, each to their own!
