Same this is year 2 on figuring it out but I finally got it !
Same for me been fighting for 2 years everyones nutritional needs are different I need high protein moderate fat and moderate to low carbs and a crap ton of water I'm finally found something that works for me and I can still eat foods I love once in a while and I'm full and not hungry. But that's what works for what I'm trying to do for myself.
Thank you Angela for this!I have been trying to love myself all my life.I’m now 52 and I’m still learning to love myself!Society and our black men tells us black woman that we aren’t beautiful and not good enough and honestly that has a lot self esteem knock downs for us.We aren’t celebrated in our culture as black woman.Some of us feel as if we aren’t beautiful unless we put on a wig or bigger lashes and have a big booty and that’s sad.And that stigma hasn’t just begun it’s been that way for years...Sad.So again thank you!❤️🥰
I use to be into the wigs and lashes not anymore. Im in my early 30s. I stopped dressing to impress black men. Im at a point where I dont give a damn anymore.
Loving yourself seems so simply but it’s something many struggle with. I’m sending you all the love and encouragement sister. 😘
Once you build up your self esteem and truly learn and begin to love yourself, ANY mans' negative thoughts and comments about us women wont even penetrate to matter.
The "French fries and bread" everyday comment really resonated. I've been vegetarian nearly a decade and only recently discovered proper nutrition. I went from only salads to pasta, bread and potatoes. Now that I have balance it's amazing

I'm 54 I just always think people should find things that they WILL do. lol If you're not going to be consistent then it's not going to work. What has worked for me is intermittent fasting, the mini trampoline and a treadmill. Perhaps a few weight lifting and plenty of water and veggies. I just keep it simple and make it a habit. Good habits will get you where you need to be. I just love how you've grown and I'm so happy for your progress. Keep on being fabulous!!
Your message speaks volumes I've been finding my center and what works for me and this has left me mostly consistent in ways I wouldn't have guess as a child. Things I once loved I don't miss or crave , instead I make my own limits and modify as I grow! You look great btw !

It took me far too long to come to the realization that I wasn't truly loving myself until I finally decided to embrace self care. Watching this video and any of this kind is very inspiring. Thank you for sharing your story.

I’m going on 27 and I’ve learned that numbers don’t really matter to me. Like inches can really make a difference. My thing is once my cycle comes, it really takes me off coarse especially because I’m normally heavy the first couple days
I learned from weighing myself weekly while dieting that the week of my period I’m 5 lbs heavier, the following week I go back to my previous weight and it takes another week for me to actually see weight loss again. So there’s really only 2 weeks a month where I’d see a loss. It was actually helpful to realize that because I understood better why sometimes it seemed like my weight wouldn’t move.
During my cycle I take a break, do a little walking, and get on a stationary bike and petal away
Yes, me tooo. I use it as a bulk lol 😜
This is inspiring! I’m trying to lose a LOT of weight and I’m trying to focus on having a lifestyle routine. When I was a teenager I was like Ms Fitness America. I worked out 5 days a week 1 1/2-2 hours a day, drank lots of protein shakes, etc. that was my routine. Over 15 years and 2 kids later I completely fell off. But I’m focusing on getting back to my old habits and routines and trying to let then weight come off naturally without obsessing about it.
You got that body from your mom she have great cruves and not only that she is beautiful....thank you for being you trying to teach woman how to do it the healthy way...

My diet changed after I was diagnosed with low potassium and elevated cholesterol levels. My cholesterol jumped from under 100 to 186. As a former dancer I ate what I wanted because I would burn it off after taking several dance classes a week. Now that I am older, I am less active and realized if I don't change, I am going to have a bunch of health issues I did not sign up for. Although I still eat meat, I only indulge once or twice a month in turkey or maybe baked chicken. I like baked or grilled salmon, grains, fruits and nuts, greens, beans...It's a mostly no cholesterol diet, nothing fried. My favorite green smoothy consists of 1 avocado, 1 bananas, (both have high potassium levels) greens, maybe some blueberries. It's creamy, smooth, and good. I don't eat ice cream so that's my substitute. My breakfast today consisted of an avocado salad sandwich on multigrain toast. I whipped it up just like an egg salad sandwich, only I did not use eggs and mayo. I added spinach, shredded carrots and sliced tomatoes with black pepper. My fitness journey is a struggle. I practice yoga 2-3 times a week. I am bored with physical activities because I danced so much that I literally lost interest. That's my struggle. So some type of workout out video would be great.

I am headed into my 2nd month of being vegan and I'm like you, I don't just want a salad LOL.. but I'm also not very creative with my meals just yet, so the struggle is hittin' real REAL over here! I also loved watching your video with the Guru Chef! I actually mimicked his scrambled (veggs) LOL rice cauliflower recipe this morning and let me just say that it was OH SO YUMMY! Thank you so much, Ms. Angela for sharing!

Defidently do a fitness video as well as one with your chef discussing the healthiest foods to eat on a vegan diet; and what vitamins they compensate for. A day in a life of what you eat would be helpful as well.

It’s interesting how she is describing herself as a young adult (18) as being curvy....I always thought she was smaller on the show ...but as she described that may be when she went through the dramatic weight loss
Thank you so much for sharing this. As a woman who is overweight and wanting to take control of my health , this really allows me to understand how to handle myself with care & education . As of now , I enrolled back into college to study and major nutrition science. I want to take that education during my health journey to lose weight naturally and learn about food.
I also checked myself into therapy to work on myself mentally so I can learn to love myself internally. Thank you for being such a positive influence.
Embracing where I am has actually been my mantra this year! Wanting change, evolving comes with where you are not sooner or later. To not enjoy the present is bad practice for the future.

Being unapologetically fat is proving to be exhausting😩 The truth is that I'm a foodie who loves good clean food when I take the time to seek and prepare it. However, the convenience train is what keeps me shoving the poor choices in my face and then waking up with an achy body. I had bad self esteem issues with my weight,I was always curvier and then I got anorexia and bulimia.It took a long time to get a healthy relationship with exercise and food and now my body is the best it's ever been I have muscles I can do pullups and strong and athletic.

Thanks for sharing. Your right too no excuses. Also that tip associating a smell with loving yourself is something worth trying. I appreciate the gems you dropped on this video keep them coming. Let me add one tip that needs to be mentioned make sure you get your 8 hours of rest people thats important your body needs time to heal and recharge. Not getting proper rest held me back from dropping weight.

This was an informative video! Thanks for being transparent Angela! I’m currently working on losing the 30 pounds I gained during the pandemic. I love to eat healthy food and I drink mainly water, tea, and smoothies. BUT I tend to snack tooo much ! This is my problem. 😫
I need some of your chef's recipes. I'm tired of veggie stir & air fry. Trying to branch out into indian food since that is prominently vegetables.
I have the pilates ring, the thigh master, dumbells, kettlebell and the inflatable ball, I have to get those resistance bands to control my leglfts (working on tightening the booty and smoothing out the celly ridges on the thighs).
