If an LLC is 2 years old, with an EIN and registered DUNS, would changing one word in the name lose my 2 years of establishment regarding lenders? I don't want it to look like a brand-new company. Thanks
If it is the same EIN and the same legal entity, changing the name should not change the credit rating or loan history (obviously some individual lender could have issues with it, but this is more a general answer)

To change the name you'd amend the LLC with the state (and also change the name everywhere else you filed something, like business license). The fees is different for every state
Hm I don't think you have to list the naics code when forming an LLC with the state or when filing an SOI. Typically you need that for other forms, like a business license.

First contact whoever formed your entity for you so they will grant you access (they get an email). If that does not work, submit the forms via mail (there's a PDF to print)

For something like real estate, it can make sense to have that in a separate LLC because it has a lot of assets -- this protects it from another service-based business (especially if that one has employees).

No you don't need a new EIN. If you want to change the responsible party, that is a separate decision. The LLC would be taxed as a partnership, so you'd file a partnership tax return and issue K-1's to go on your personal tax returns

Hm so in California, if you use an address when you first file, a PDF of that first filing is in your record forever with that name and address. But in the searchable database it gets changed when you change the address/name.

Hm possibly but you'd need to do it in a way that it is not self-dealing. The non-profit has to chose to do business with the LLC in a way that is just like they were hiring a total third party company. At the very least, the other non-profit board members (who don't own the LLC) should make the decision. But I'd talk to an attorney who works on non-profit stuff to make sure it is done in a way that is legit.

They get the email immediately -- just depends if they care and/or are paying attention. If they don't grant you access, then you'd want to call or email them directly

The govt wants a “street address” so a physical place where the biz is located. It really depends on the address type but many times I’ll put the street address of the owner, if that’s the only street address.

I don't know what you needed notarized, so I can't speak to that. But you can change the name of the LLC yourself (assuming you have access to the bizfile account).

In most states, each year an LLC or Corp has to file something with the state where they update their info and pay a fee. It is usually called an annual report or information statement. In Arizona, corporations file annual reports but not LLCs.

Your LLC can get an EIN, yes. Just go to www.irs.gov/businesses/small-businesses-self-employed/apply-for-an-employer-identification-number-ein-online and apply for it. If you have been using your SSN instead, you'll need to update it everywhere you used it, to the new EIN.

The only thing I hate is that you have to send a separate update to the IRS and wait for like 3 months before you can update it legally on your bank accounts and payroll 😡 it should be somewhat automatic and definitely faster but, ya know, why would they do that And wow you're right, you can file a statement of information on any corporation. That's dumb. At least they can't amend it Lastly, even if you are the only owner/person, you need 2 signatures from yourself. So like yourself as CEO and yourself as Secretary. Otherwise they'll deny it

Hm yes I'd suspect either you were not logged in (or the login didn't work right) or you don't have access to your LLC

Ah so the "additional amendments" almost never applies - it is optional for people in unique situations. I have never used it

Look at the original docs you filed for creating the business -- there are numbered paragraphs. The name of the business is one of the numbers
