- God didn't give us parameters for forgiveness.... just that we had to.
Forgive:

Amen. When I was a baby Christian’s the parable that hit me the hardest was that of the unforgiving servant. I vowed to never be that servant. Has it always been easy? No. However, with God it always has been and always will be possible. Yeshua is Lord.

According to Philippines 2:13 "for it is God who works in you BOTH to will & to do for His good pleasure. " Many year ago I knew I needed to forgive someone that hurt me ( physically & emotionally badly), yet I knew if left on my own, it would never happen. I began to pray & ask Jesus to help me. He surely did. Yet, it didn't happen instantly. However each time I prayed for Him to work within me to do "of His good pleasure"...there began a whole new work in other areas, too. Let's remember too He's not willing that any should perish & He's no respecter of persons.

When we don’t forgive God allows the TORTURERS TO REMAIN in our lives. ( Mathew parable of the man that was forgiven of his debt but would not forgive another that had a debt ). If you want tortures just don’t forgive

Amen! And forgiveness doesn't mean they get a spot back into your life, forgiveness is really for our healing!! By the way God already forgave us our sins once we believed, but I get what your saying as he can't fully be real to you with that bitter we hang onto.❤

@@JonathanJilliana So Jesus Cleanse us of all our sins once we believe. He doesn't see sin on us as Christians anymore, however we will always repent the rest of our lives as Christians. John here was talking about salvation because there were gnostics thinking they had no sin in context John was saying BUT YOU DO IS WHY YOU NEED SALVATION. We don't ever lose fellowship with God our else hes a liar. What we lose is focus. I was actually agreeing with you, but wanted to further clarify that once our sins were washed, they were ALL washed! That is the good news.
I hear what you are saying, yes, once we believe in Jesus we are forgiven of our sins, because continual repentance when we RECOGNIZE our moments of need for forgiveness, it's important to take that moment to acknowledge that sin, repent and praise God for his forgiveness.
